Announcements as of July 28, 2021

I have called you, and you have answered my call --

Do not mistake my silence for weakness, my forest kin. For I am willing to defend you with my fangs and claws, until the days come when am no longer able to. Keep an eye on the borders for Zelda and her sister Midna, because I will welcome them back into the flock on the day of their return.

The flood has left our forest home in a sorry state of disarray. I shall not tolerate this. Summer is here and we must rebuild our dens in time for winter. There is a lot of hard and dirty work ahead of us. But we shall face it together, as family, as a pack. Let's get back to work and then we shall hunt. I hunger for a feast.

From your new Alpha --

Moonshade, the Gravekeeper of Moladion

MUTE - AMUTAQ & ZETERI - LEVI'S SOUL- NONE TO LOVE - MUTE HUNTRESS OF TAVIORA

She knew she was being a bit irrational with her actions. It was hard to be though. At some point feelings turned and while they still brimmed in her heart they were no longer boiling with warm as it had been when she thought he had asked her about pups and saying he cared about her. He still did, she knew he did yet part of her wished he wouldn’t if only because then it would make it easier for her to distance herself again. Right now try as she might she didn't’ want to lose whatever it was they had. Friendship or well she guessed that was it on his part. Her ears flicked back again at the thought, trying to get over the wounded feeling he didn’t even mean to leave her with. He just wanted to be honest, upfront that there was, well someone else he had thought about in those moments. It made her feel more bad for acting as she did in that rush of emotions. She took a deep breath steadying herself and giving herself a mental slap to the face for feeling sorry for herself. She couldn’t stop feeling as she did, but shutting down wasn’t the right thing to do either.

He looked to her then as she rubbed her paws across her eyes, trying her best to put on her tough unshakable face that for so long she held close to her. She wasn’t doing a very good job, but still she managed a few more feeble waves as he spoke saying that they needed to agree to disagree on the who's fault it was matter. She still disagreed, but he was right, both of them were far to stubborn to really let it go. Truth was she didn’t like seeing him like this either, her eyes set on him again, watching him as he seemed so far out of his element. Tuari wanted to ease him back in, but after this she wasn’t exactly sure that they would just fall back into being normal anytime soon. Really she didn’t want it too either.

He was trying to be open with her and she was open with him. There were no more secret feelings between them that well potentially could cause something like this from happening again she guessed. Though she guessed she would be upset if he didn’t want to be with her and chose the other girl. He wouldn’t have her blaming herself for his mistake when really she didn’t think there was one. Dexter certainly wasn’t having none of that though.

She felt no shame in trying to get him to understand her view of it, but it seemed he was adamant on thinking he should have noticed something she never said or acted on until now. Her forced laconic ways being all she could do to try and get some part of her feelings out in the open, apparently. He moved towards her a little daringly perhaps but she gave him the full focus and intensity of her gaze. Steeling herself over and over again. He didn’t want to forget this, and if that was what he wanted her to do then she would stick to that as well. She already thought that maybe this was for the best, the embarrassment in time would fade away, and perhaps now that he knew well things might get easier.

She stood up still looking a little bit worse for wear, but her brows knitted together determinedly meeting his eyes before giving a small nod of understanding. She wanted to say she was sorry, but she already knew he’d say there was nothing for her to be sorry about again. She didn’t want to dredge that up again too. She shook her head though in reply to his second part, she didn’t want to be alone. Not again. She had far too much time of that before Dexter had returned home and spend time with her. She didn't want to get broke down again.

Tuari took another nervous step forward, she wasn’t sure if she should touch him again. She wanted to, but she wasn’t sure if he wanted too. After all her simple touches was what caused all this in the first place. Still it made her feel good to know that he played such a big part in his life. She wished it could be more but she would take what she had for now. Better this than nothing at all. She offered him a bit of an apologetic smile before letting it mold into her toothy grin.

”You too.”

She offered to him slowly, tail giving a few waves before looking over him. She hadn’t thought about hurting him before, she hadn’t bitten him but knowing she knocked him to the ground could be enough. Other than some leaves he looked fine enough. Her gaze went back to his, affirming he was okay before finally braving the rough waters she moved forward touching her chest then his own. Regardless of his feelings towards her, her heart was his to do what he will. Nothing if that was what he wanted. That would be his choice and she would do her best to be happy for him whatever his own heart decided on. Still it didn’t stop her own desires, but she never was a selfish wolfess, nor was she one to give up on something she wanted, never had the two conflicted as much as they did now, but she knew the better part of her would win.

THE FOREST RANKS

THE GRAVEKEEPER

The Alpha Male of Taviora. He will accept all challenges and block any steals. He has taken an oath to protect all within the forest, alive and dead.

THE KEEPER OF SECRETS

This will be Moonshade's chosen co-alpha. They will also be able to accept challanges and steals in order to defend Taviora.

THE KEEPER OF TRUTHS

This rank will belong to the chosen heir of Taviora. This wolf will probably share Moonshade's blood. This rank can be challenged for if you believe that you are a better candidate for the job.

THE FOREST COUNCIL

Although the Alpha's have the final say in all matters, Taviora is still a pack, we are still a community. These wolves are the most senior members of our ranks. Their role is to guide, serve and protect. All of them have earned their place here and they should be respected at all times. Every position on the council can be challanged for by a subordinate pack member. However the council has the right to block a pack member from gaining the position if they have concluded that the individual has placed their own selfish desires before the best interest of the pack as a whole.

THE TUSKS

The packs lead fighter. One of the strongest and bravest in our ranks. They will answer the call to protect the forest if either of the Alpha's are absent.

THE JAWS

The packs head of defence. They are our chief hunter and guardian to all within the forest borders. They know every inch of Taviora and every wolf within.

THE HORNS

The packs most senior teacher. They are responsible for teaching and guiding all of our young and new members so that they will reach their full potential.

THE EYES

The packs trusted informant. This wolf spends a lot of their time outside the forest borders, keeping their eyes, ears and nose peeled for news or potential trouble. Due to the secretive and dangerous nature of this rank, only a wolf that the pack can trust with their lives will obtain this responsibility.

THE DARKDWELLER

This is Taviora’s Head Healer. This wolf is responsible for treating the pack's wounds, injuries and illnesses. They are also expected to be one of the first on scene when a mother goes into labour. Along with their counterpart, The Soothsayer, they will train future healers for the service of our pack and our allies.

THE SOOTHSAYER

This is Taviora’s Head Counselor. Their knowledge of healing and herbal remedies are equal to that of their counterpart, The Darkdweller. This wolf specializes in helping us conquer the unseen demons in our heads and our hearts. They are also expected to help bring all children of the forest safely into this world.

NIGHTWATCHERS

Our trusted packmates that guard the borders while the rest of us sleep safely in our dens. If something is amiss within our lands, they should be the first to intercept any threat and call for back up when needed. Some might not call themselves soldiers, but they will spill blood if push comes to shove.

DAWNSTRIDERS

The most diligent and selfless of our pack. They are up at first light and leave our inner sanctum every few days in search of prey. They hunt far and wide in order to make sure none of us go hungry. While not out hunting, they are free to relax or assist the Nightwatchers, Daylightres or Dawnstriders with their tasks.

DAYLIGHTERS

This group will make up the bulk of our pack, they are our beloved family. They are generalists and commoners who are charged with looking after the most central and sacred parts of our home. Along with The Horns, they are expected to watch out for our children. We are happy to keep all within our ranks that love and respect the forest of Taviora.

DUSKWALKERS

Rumoured to be the most free spirited and independent members of our pack, they guard when no other eyes are available. They wander down all the winding dirt paths and have been known to explore into the freelands. They are envoys and ambassadors who assist The Eyes with their duty of keeping us all safe.

ANCIENT PINES

These wolves are older and have retired from active service. We thank them for all that they have done for our pack, however long or short their tenor was. They shall live out the rest of their years with the best food, shelter and company we can offer them.

THE BRIAR PATCH

This is the name for Taviora’s nursing mothers and their litters of puppies. Once they are born, at least one parent is expected to temporarily step down from their role in order to raise their pups for the first 6 months of their lives. An exemption can be made if another mother is willing to look after the young while the parents resume their service to the pack.

THE SAPLINGS

Too big for the briar patch but not yet old enough to be called a daylighter. These are all puppies between the age of 1 and 3. Pups can start their training from 2 and above if The Horns has found a suitable Mentor for them.

THE WELCOMED

These wolves are welcome within our borders anytime of the day or night. Blocking their access will be met with disapproval and possible punishment.

THE BANISHED

They are enemies of our pack and their presence will not be tolerated within or near our home. Those caught in contact with a wolf on this list will likely share the same fate.

THE SACRED TOMBS

Our brothers and sisters that have sadly left us for their next adventures. We give thanks for their lives and we send them on with all our love, hopes and dreams. Moonshade will accept the bones of any wolf that has ever called Taviora their home and will find them a special place within our hallowed grounds. Every burial mound is individual and sacred. Tampering or messing with one will not be tolerated. A crime against the dead will be treated as though it has been committed against a living pack member.

Remember, we are always watching from the shadows ...
