So I was hoping to post this week and over the weekend...

But you've probably noticed that didn't happen!

I don't have everybody on Facebook and I know I owe quite a few posts that I've been looking forward to (Judith, Jinx, Sleekwing and so on!).

Anyway, on Friday, our puppo Beyla began getting sick. She started to seem better but 2am Sunday morning, she had started going into septic shock. What we didn't know is that her entire uterus had become infected and had ruptured internally. So, we were off to the emergency vet and given bad news. They didn't think she'd make it.

During her surgery, they also found a tumor the size of a tennis ball on her spleen. We had the entire spleen removed and the surgery was a success. Still, didn't want to say that she would make it as she hadn't improved at all pretty much.

So! That's where I've been! I got a call today and got to visit her. She made it through the night but still isn't eating and her blood levels are yet to stabilize (currently lost 12% of her blood volume) so we're more hopeful but still not entirely sure how things will go.
