I hadn't meant to make him eat more because I guess I understood he wasn't hungry. There was a time I was so deep in my grief he had to beg for me to eat. It is a defense mechanism to shut away all pleasurable things when in such a hole but he had helped me climb out of it and I wouldn't for the world see anything happen to him. It was true that I've noticed the difference in size between us but it didn't bother me. Small or large Halcyon commanded the very air around him with purpose. A King born from royal blood and so too, was I. It seemed a perfect match and often I mulled over the idea of how we had come from an ancient (okay so maybe I was being a little over dramatic) line of wolves. Tesseract and his family - Iblis and his. My mother might not have been born a royal but damn if she hadn't earned her spot. I wonder what she would think of us now, sharing a den, hell a LIFE together!

He gives me a grin and then eats half of the largest of my prizes and pushes the rest towards me. I wasn't hungry BUT my taste of prairie dog meant I didn't care as I grinned boldly at him then chewed on the rest slowly while he began to talk. My head tips to the side. "Of course you can! Besides, a meeting of Kings and Queens would be the talk of the town!" My tail thumps against the ground and I smile salaciously at him. He should know by now how I enjoyed the lime light even if I was harmless enough. There is nothing cruel about me really except that at times I am oblivious and that can cause hurt feelings.

"It's mostly the same though," I shrug in response. "Just a bunch of different wolves now." And no mother or father. I had ached to walk in their land without seeing them.

When he stands I push up as well instinctively so that his chest can press against mine as he gives me a wolfish hug. I lay my own leg across his shoulder noting how much larger it is with a grin. I feel a spark in my belly at his words, his compliment and endearing name. "Thank you, Hal," I whisper because I am a mix of emotions. Aware of him in a way I hadn't been before and awed by his touching statement of my parents. I sure hope he was right. He pulls back a bit and lists his own tribute as if mine is greater, earning him a frown and then a scowl as I press the tip of a paw to his chest. "Don't downplay what you've been doing, it is the duty of the alpha and therefore a great task." Then I fluffled myself up as if I was an imperial Queen. Which I was, duh.

"Besides I've seen you running around and it is almost dizzying to watch. You need a break every now and again. It's both of us, yes, but also we have plenty of loyal pack members who can help. You don't have to worry so much, honey." He leans on me and I lick his cheek warmly, cleaning him in a soothing manner. "The cubs will be protected. I'll find us a warrior to watch over them and my brother too," I add as an afterthought, slightly sad at the way my brother has regressed in his time in Iromar. "Plus we have Undyne too, she can help. Don't worry, love, I'll figure it out. And once it is done at least the plains will be safe again! Safe enough for cubs of our own," I add with a sly look from the corner of my eyes, wondering if he would respond. I wasn't even sure how I felt about that but something was taking root in me and I... I didn't feel like a kid anymore.

All ranks may be challenged for outside of Kuk and Thoth. Tasks to rise in rank will be given at the discretion of Sekhmet.

Kuk - The Chosen One - Darkness personified, this wolf is the chief warrior and is given all the same rights as the Pharaoh. Made of strength, tasked with teaching the youth to build their strength.
Thoth - Advisor to Sekhmet - God of wisdom, reason, and secrets. This wolf is extremely loyal to the Pharaoh. They can make and block steals as well as accept challenges when Sekhemt and the Kuk are unable to do so.

Imhotep - Divine Priest - Spiritual Advisor to Sekhmet. You will make sacrifices to the gods in her name.
Amunet - The Heir - One who is hidden and her powers are connected to the words silence, stillness, mystery and obscurity.
Ma'at - Lead Diplomat - God of justice and order. You maintain peace and order within the pack and with those to whom we are bound.

Nephthys - Head Butcher - God of death and decay. You, mighty butcher, will be the artful assassin. Those marked should meet Anubis soon.
Set - Head Thief - God of chaos and change. Take everything that you need and a little extra to grow. The rest is tribute.
Horus - Head Hunter - God of good hunting. Great hunter, the feast will be plentiful when you step on the fields.
Isis - Head Healer - God of healing and protection. You mend the wounds and do not allow weakness to fester.
Seshat - Head Informant - God of knowledge. Gather information on our friends and enemies alike.

Scepters - Warriors - You will work closely with Sobek. Fight for your pack; you will often be asked to escort other members on outings when it is seen fit.
Kemet - Hunters - Working under the eye of Horus, you will ensure the pack is fed.
Medjay - Scouts - Show me, what bounties can you find for the gods? Report your findings to Seshat.
Snares - Thieves - The world is ours, let us reap from it. Learn your art from Set.
Heka - Healers - Work with Isis to heal wounds and ease pain; repair what is broken to the best of your abilities.
Scribes - Diplomats - You will work under Ma'at to complete the duties of mantaining peace within and outside of the pack.

Kith - Children of Asteraia - The youth are our future.
Kin - Unranked members of Asteraia - Those who have not yet chosen a specialty, or who do wish to.
