NAME: Cicero
AGE 2
GENDER Male
EYE COLOR Cornflower Blue

APPEARANCE
38in / 135lbs
Cicero is a tall, willowy wolf, built more for speed and agility than brute power. His slender form, narrow shoulders and long legs grant him a graceful and somewhat feminine appearance. His base colour is a charcoal grey; pale grey, almost white, fur covers the lower half of his face, chest and stomach. This grey creeps up to his ankles on his front legs, and to his lower thigh on his back. Running down his topline is a darker grey. A single white “stripe” runs from beneath his armpits onto his back, and his face is masked in the charcoal grey and a medium grey which also halos his neck, obscured by the darker grey that envelopes his top half.

PERSONALITY
The very definition of an extrovert, Cicero is a bubbly and seemingly carefree wolf. Though genuinely amiable, at his core he is a guarded individual who uses his cheery disposition as something of a mask, and finds it hard to open up even once his trust has been earned. Though he’s even tempered, he is also somewhat stubborn and knows how to hold a grudge.

SAMPLE:
Aloïs was having a hard time comprehending the scene unfolding before him. Perhaps he was cursed, or merely being punished, but either way he couldn’t understand how his happiness had so quickly dissolved into… this. He felt helpless. Scared. There was a pain in his chest that he wasn’t quite sure he was imagining and he wanted to scream. But he didn’t. He remained silent, watching like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

His head was spinning.

“Sorry, you’re asking if I want to make thinks difficult?” Disbelief was evident in Bronte’s voice, and though she had clearly tried, she didn’t quite manage to hold back her laughter. It was dry, humourless, like a parent scolding a smug child. “Ní mòr duit a bheith ag magadh! Let’s not pretend for a minute that I’m making things difficult, Primo. Not after that stunt.” Even from where the priest stood, the anger in Bronte’s eyes was evident. Whether she had willed it or not, her purple gaze betrayed her hurt and disgust at being treated like some weak-willed human by a succubus who clearly had more ego than sense. An insult that, Aloïs wagered, would not be easily forgotten.

“I’m not intimidated, you know,” Bronte spat, folding her arms across her chest, “Not by you, and certainly not by your mind games.” The priest was suddenly acutely aware of how badly he wanted Primo away from her. For fear of what she might do? What he might? He couldn’t say. All he knew was that Primo being so far away made him uncomfortable, a feeling that was only added to when, in an instant, all eyes were on him.
He met Bronte’s gaze first, and he thought that he saw a pang of pity- or perhaps it was guilt?- in her eyes. Whatever it was, it was lost on him as his verdant gaze moved far-too-quickly to seek out Primo’s. Bronte shrugged the feeling off; the priest had been deathly pale, yes, but if he was scared then that was on Primo, not her.

Primo broke eye contact far too soon, and Aloïs tried not to look crestfallen when the Italian’s attention returned to Bronte. Look at me, not her! he pleaded, silently, but of course this was for naught. There was a ringing in his ears; it suddenly felt hard to focus.

The redhead remained silent when Primo addressed her again. She just stared at him, frowned slightly and chewed her lip, as though deep in thought. After a moment, she looked away from him, away from Aloïs, and sighed. “You want me to go?” It was more of a statement than a question, “Fine. Tá mé imithe.” Her voice was cold, but not altogether hostile. “I’m sure this won’t have been a total waste of my time; someone will probably pay handsomely for this information. But…” she trailed off, looking back to Primo with the slightest of smiles, “I might hold onto it. For now. If you feel like settling this like grown-ups, then I have a request that just might interest your boyfriend there. Help me out and I’ll see to it that this stays secret.”

Something in Bronte’s words snapped Aloïs to attention, clearing the fog that had taken over his mind. There was a puzzle there, something too enticing not to bite.

“What could you possible want that would interest me?” he asked, finding his voice for the first time since the imp had entered his church. He was struck by how odd it sounded, as if it were only partially his own. He thought he must have imagined it, but Bronte seemed to have noticed something, too, if the look of shock on her face was anything to go by.

In that moment, the world seemed to stop spinning.
