Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He did wonder what others thought of his parents back in their prime. Were they intimidating? Did they influence others? Were they respected? He knew that his father Fenrir was his role model from day one. Fenrir was a protector and a father. He a warrior and a seeker of truth. Natu was a thinker. She was kind and caring and yet cunning in a way he could never fully wrap his mind around as a child. She always seemed to be hiding more behind those eyes than he could ever begin to interpret. She always seemed so smart and he could see what must have appealed to Fenrir the first time he saw her every time she opened her mouth. She was charming and yet in a deadly sort of way. He could only hope to have half of those traits from either of them as he grew and matured. He wanted nothing more than to make them proud but he wanted to make the path his own way. He wanted his own mark. Eden spoke that he did too and Thor believed it with every ounce of his being. He nodded, his eyes glowing with respect for his alpha. He had looked up to Eden from the first day when he tumbled in on that first pack meeting as a pup and tried to attack Eden's paw. He had seen him that day as a strong and reliable leader, a fair judge and an epic fighter. His opinion of Eden hadn't changed all that much since that day.

He had never felt so glad than the day he had come back to Glorall only to find that Eden still wore the crown. It made him feel more at home somehow, to know that not only was his sister still here, but so was the great leader he had wanted to impress from day one. He was certainly not one to pick a fight but he wanted to be strong enough of mind and body to finish it however was necessary. That's why he was counting on Eden's guidance to set him on the right path and he believed in anything the alpha set out for him. If this was the title he saw fit for him, then Thor would defend it with every cell in his body. He would prove that Eden had not made a mistake any way that he could. Eden brings up a bargain and his ears pricked forward eagerly, leaning forward ever so slightly to take it all in. He wanted to prove himself so badly. And so the task was laid out for him. He was to seek out a young male called Blackthorne and take him on as an apprentice. He nodded vigorously, his eyes bright.

"Consider it done. I have not met with any of them yet but I will make sure that's my first priority as soon as I leave you today. I will seek out this Blackthorne and gain his trust and hopefully, his respect. I will do you proud, Eden. You will not regret this decision."

There is something of a mystery behind Eden's intelligent gaze even now as he watched him and Thor wondered if there was more to this task than met the eye. But either way, he wouldn't let a challenge pause him in his task to prove himself. He would stand up beneath it all and make his mark. He would do what needed to be done to show Eden that his judgement was not in vain. Then Eden made it more interesting, telling him that if he succeeded, he could give Eden a task. His eyes widened at such an idea. He would do something as HE asked? It seemed unheard of. Alphas do not do the bidding of their pack members. It's always the opposite way. It felt like a great honor and he would have to think up a good one for Eden, perhaps while he was earning Blackthorne's trust. He smiled and wagged his tail.

"I look forward to it.I'll make sure to make it interesting, though not half as interesting as our spar and race today."

His smile turned to a smirk as his eyes twinkled with amusement.
