Friendship as close to siblingship as it could get, the only thing they lacked was rivalry. Which suited Pine perfectly. Raised under the impression she was to protect the royal family, Pine had been encouraged to all but become the royal family. Sticking as close to Aster as Halcyon had, but for now obviously different reasons, being next to her now was only natural. Their ranks and their titles washed away in their closeness, barely even legitimate in their laughing words. When Aster had given her blessing to rule Iromar, at first Pine had been uneasy. After swearing her life to protect the royal family donning the crown had never seemed to be a consideration. Now she wore it with pride, and continued her vows by protecting the memories and legacy of the family and ensuring the continuation of Iromar’s past greatness.

At Aster’s words, Pine chuckled softly. She knew her size and her stature. Other wolves in Moladion towered over her. She could not recall meeting someone she did not have to peer up at. It was something she had decided to use to her advantage. To create a face, an idea, and a mystery around Iromar and to ensure the rest of the world would know there was true force behind the mist, a powerful bite just below the surface. With the same paw, Pine was sure she could create a realm where safety, security, and laughter was protected. It was not the Iromar Aithne, or Aster, had known. But it would still be great. It comforted and excited Pine to know Aithne and Aster had both continued the tradition of stealing wolves.

The little woman felt her friend’s eyes narrow at her and she grinned with the impish nature that befit her title. Shew knew the jealousy and pride all too well. Though she could not think what she would have done if Cenna had found another. Her heart would ache, but be whole with his when and if he found love outside of her. She was not as possessive as Aster, but she was deeply protective of her soul bound mate. Seeing the uncertainty in Aster, Pine finally understood Cenna’s insistence that he was ‘happy’ and that was all that he was. She barked laughter at Aster’s question. Terrible! Her growled voice was just as teasing as it had been issuing threats to the other Queen. But wonderful. He took me in when I fled and I… uh… moved into his den. Much like she had flounced into Aithne and Aster’s as a pup, and again into Diveen as a whole. He came with me here, by his choice, claiming if it made me happy it made him happy. Though now she understood his feelings, she still swore if she heard him say it to her again she would bite him.
