Aurelia knew she had been spotted before she entered the group, mismatched eyes taking in her eldest brother’s sly smile. They both looked so much older now - she could see Nathaniel shining through Cade, while her mother’s family was represented in Berywn’s snowy coat. She had long known Cadeyrn would tower over her, but even Ber was bigger than her now and a sense of aching nostalgia swept through her. She should have been there to see them grow up and she had failed them. There was a bit of silence after she spoke, eyes nervously darting between the two boys. If her younger sibling stayed true to the character she knew, he would hold no ill will against her. And eventually, she would tell them both about her time away from them, and perhaps they would be able to understand better. For as close as they had been, Cadeyrn must have been hurt by her sudden disappearance, and that was something Aurelia couldn’t take back.

It was Cadeyrn who spoke first though and relief washed over her like a tidal wave. Aurelia leaned into his greeting, taking a deep breath of his familiar cologne and letting it soothe the longheld worry for the pair. She had been haunted with thoughts of them being hurt or worse for so long, and to have them back and whole where she could make sure they were safe was relief. Berwyn approaches slowly and silently then, pressing his nose to her cheek. The masked girl leaned in further, rubbing her cheek against his for a moment before pulling away. No words had been spoken, but there was no need for them: all was well.

”You’ve both grown so much,” she commented, prancing a circle around the boys. Giddiness had replaced relief and she felt like a child again, ready to tease and go on adventures with her partners in crime. ”I don’t think I’m going to able to beat you in wrestling anymore, Ber,” she added, grinning. While Cadeyrn had always been bigger than both of them, she and her younger brother had been close enough in size as children that she’d been able to get a leg up on him. That was far from the case now, especially considering how dainty she had grown to be in comparison to her brothers. ”What have you two been up to? Any adventures I should know about?” the girl’s expression grew mischievous, and without skipping a beat she added, ”Any girls I should know about?”
