NJAA statistician "Magic' Mike Berry has been hospitalized and has undergone surgery with more surgery scheduled Sunday.
The Cal Ripkin of Puryear Park Jai-alai will be sidelined for awhile, but its his health issues that are more of a concern. On Thursday, he experienced massive pain with major groin problems with 4 lumps, bleeding and unable to walk. He then entered the hospital at that point where he will remain for more surgery. Several groin abbess's had to be cut open with more surgery Sunday.
While the medical experts argue if his diet of Dr. Pepper and McDonalds has caught up with him, we all wish him a speedy recovery.
Action was played on Thursday with 6 games getting played and Saturday with another 8 games played on top of earlier exhibition games that were held. All games have been logged and will be updated as soon as Mike is able to.
No performance will be held Sunday - Mothers Day. Our next scheduled performance is Tuesday 5:15pm. Giving you guys a heads up, I will be hosting a family reunion next Wednesday thru Sunday and will not be able to play. Mike will likely be out at least part of that time, so someone will have to takeover setting up play starting Thursday if Mike is unable.
On the games not yet posted, red hot Chris The Kidd has won 9 straight games over the past two performances and would be a perfect 10 for 10 if he had not let Seminole King come back to beat with 15-14 in a game 1 singles match Thursday.
On the CT tournament, Thomas and Brodie are now officially in with their flights booked, giving us 7 players now. Eric L is now "very possible to play" with Julio reporting to Anthony that he is 50-50. Replies:
