Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

this is the end

If it was up to me, she would never have another unhappy thought, never feel another pinch of discomfort or an ounce of pain. He hated seeing her like this, hearing that she wanted to give up. He couldn't imagine his life without her. He didn't want to. She had conquered his heart on that day years ago when he met her. She was the light that beckoned him back to Moladian when he was with the assassins. She was his angel in the darkness. And now she was the mother of his newly born child. He looked at this as a new beginning for both of them. He knew that his old mentor Azure wouldn't let im walk away unscathed but she would not touch his family. He would kill every last one of them if they tried. I stayed close to her, never leaving her side throughout the whole thing and yet I knew through experience now that there were times when she didn't want to be touched, when it became too much. And so he learned to give her space in those moments. When he told her that he would die if she did, she yelled at him and his brow rose in that moment. He spoke softly, giving her a fond smile.

"It's the truth, love."

He knew without a doubt that if anything were to happen to her, he wouldn't survive it, not really. Even if his body refused to give up, he would be a walking empty shell without her in his heart and soul. As she did her job of bringing the pup into this world, he was all too happy to give her rest and take over, stepping around her gently to care for the pup. He felt her lick and smiled affectionately at her before he tore into the sac and retrieved the pup, cleaning her off.

"It's a girl, love."

He was settling her against Malleah's side when he felt someone else here. He turned on a dime, his hackles already up and snarls already ripping from the deepest confines of his chest as he turned his golden gaze so much like his father's on the younger wolf moving in close to Malleah. The only thing that stopped him from slamming his full body weight into her and knocking her away from the only things that have ever meant anything to him in this world was that voice. That voice could stop him from breathing. His eyes snapped to Malleah and his snarls quieted, one brow raising in question as he looked from her to the other wolf. She was a female and younger. Something about her was familiar. And then Malleah pushed herself to rise and he went to her with a whine, forgetting about the other wolf for a moment as he pressed his nose to her shoulder.

"You should rest. Build your strength."

His gaze only moved back to the other wolf when Malleah spoke again, introducing her as Myrria, her daughter? Then the memories flooded back as she mentioned the pup she had talked about all those years ago when they first met. He remembered that. He nodded his head, his eyes still watching the young female. So this was her daughter. He gazed at her curiously. Yes, he could see Malleah in her. He didn't know her father but that didn't matter. She was part of his heart and that's all that mattered. He offered her a smile and nodded.

"Pleasure to finally meet you, Myrria."

Then Malleah was talking, offering a name for their daughter and he beamed at her, his eyes lighting up.

"I love it, sweetheart. Lucia....a beautiful name for a beautiful girl."

He smiled down at the squirming bundle of joy who was nursing happily from her mother. He heard Malleah ask Myrria if she wanted to meet her and he fought the urge to stiffen, turning to give her an encouraging smile. If Malleah trusted her, he would trust her.
