She didn't know how to quite take the girl's reaction. A bit of fang was directed towards her, and El'Zeath's expressive eyes both lifted in reaction. Was she doing something wrong, something to provoke her? Her nature was taken highly from her mother. She was curious, enjoyed exploring, and had a natural compassion for others. Her father’s words taught her to be cautious though, but it was a thing she did not listen to as much...she never had reason to, but the cold gaze of the female before her made her question herself for the first time.
She figured why let fear take her down? The girl asks why in response to her questioning if she was okay. El’Zeath tilted her black and gold head in response. She did not understand how that was an odd question. It was a normal thing from how she was raised, and difficult to wrap around her head as to why that would be something to question. She would do her best to explain herself though.
”Why? Oh, um, well you see, I wouldn’t want anything to happen to you? I do not wish harm upon you,” she says with a growing smile, her tail giving a small wave behind her. There was something genuine in the look that she gives- genuine, but perhaps naive. She saw how protective the girl was of her throat, and she wondered if other wolves around her made her feel like she had to be that way. For now, it was not an appropriate question though. Her bright and warm eyes- much the opposite of the female before her, as she explained a bit about the world around her, how she was willing to teach her. El’Zeath felt her smile grow. She would love to learn more!
She could not help but wonder about the girl before her and the general aura she gave. Her curiosity and thirst to learn more about the world she landed in was too much though...and she had not met many here yet. She thought it best to try and make a friend, try to understand those that may be different from her. That is what he mother would tell her. Learn from others and give them a chance. She nodded.
”Oh, yes! I can learn, I have...well, plenty of time. I was...hoping to find a place to live, too, but...I don’t want to intrude either!” she exclaims as she looks down at her paws on the rocks, and then at the river. Her brows furrowed as she considered how to cross. It may not be the best spot.
”Uh, hold on!” she says as she jumps her way down. She then trots slightly down river, seeing that the water grows a bit thinner and the rocks more abundant. She carefully enters, the water coming almost up to her chest. She feels the rush against her- and knows that there is much power in this river if she is not careful with her steps. It takes her a few good moments before she crosses, coming out on the other side. Her ears pull back a little with her grin. She does not want to seem too threatening and thus is not grandiose with her posture. She knew to look kind- but still strong.
”Okay, I am ready, if you want,” she says with a nod, hoping the younger girl would show her a bit more about this world.
