Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

& WE ARE THE DYING
WE ARE THE DAMNED
The rustling of the other creature quiets and Myrria’s nose twitches slightly to try and detect if the mother’s scent was still nearby or if she had gone. It was too difficult to tell without moving to seek it out. Impatience rattles in her mind despite her quiet composure, her muscles still tense in the instance that the girl catches on to her pursuits. But when the larger female rolls her shoulders casually Myrria knows that she is most likely safe from exposure.

Her posture relaxes, tail lowering in a neutral manner, and her ears perk up at the sound of the stranger’s voice again. Good, she was going to leave her alone soon. Iromar? Myrria had only ventured close to there when she was searching for Carnifex those years ago. The prospect of those green, scaled beasts gnawing her to pieces kept her far enough away from the marshes after she had witnessed one near the river. ”Uhh, no”, she replies a bit tactlessly. Lack of social skills in the north hadn’t done her very much good in her youth. ”I travelled near there when I was searching for…” she paused for a moment, unsure of divulging so much information to a stranger. But she had already begun to speak it and now the growing silence began to make it even more awkward. ”My dad. I was looking for my father,” she finished as one ear cocked back embarrassingly.

She hoped that the girl did not ask her any more questions. There was a slight bit of condescension lingering in those eyes that stared at Myrria, something that set her off. She doesn’t know why she would be familiar to her in any way - she had just gotten back after years of vanishing, after all. ”I was gone… for a long time. So you shouldn’t know me,” she blurted out, trying to end the girl’s curiosity there. Her stance became uneasy, nervous even, as the conversation grew longer than she had first anticipated.

Another crackle of old, fallen leaves and twigs sent her looking in the same direction as before. The flashing shadow of a large wolf returning to the den in which Myrria had been approaching until her disruption. Looks like she won’t find an easy meal today. Her head snaps back to the stranger, now less concerned with the meeting but more frustrated that she will not get to eat today. ”Who are you?” she asks her straightforwardly, wanting to know the name of the one who lost her a meal. She is far more bold despite knowing that the other is larger than her; fueled by her angry, rumbling belly.
