Solstice smiled at the fearful pup, making sure to continue to keep her body as low to the ground as she could. Slowly and with subtle measure, she made sure her body was as relaxed and liquid as possible. Her creamy gold body as pliable and relaxed as possible. The tension and fear radiating off Lazarus seemed to be absorbed into her and released back into the world as a smile and warm thump of her tail. She worked to become the opposite and balance to the scared wolf, silently inviting him to trust her and relax around her in a place he would be safe. She wished with her smile she could wipe the fear away.
Her efforts were slowly but surely rewarded. Though he did not look at her, he did invite her closer. She had no thought or notion he was too petrified to move, thus asking her to do so for him, but she did so anyway. Still keeping her body low, she wiggled closer to the boy. By sheer coordination, her progression was slow, halting, and awkward. Even a more graceful wolf would have trouble basically sliding along the ground. Once she was within blowing distance of him she lazily rolled onto her back, looking up at him with her head tilted to the side in the dirt. Paws were held close to her chest, her whole body a show of carefree submission. Her smile was a sun and stars though. I am! I am Solstice, the Care of Asteraia. Who are you, guardian? Judging by the nature of Lazarus she would have guessed him to still be a pup, but odd growths and body proportions had her hesitating at the assumptions. Instead she followed her general rule of never addressing anyone as if they were a child, or beneath her. Even to the young minds such an approach was insulting for youth, at times, had more wisdom than the aged.
