Oh man major moral dilemma for Thoth. Would depend on other information, like which was closer, if either of them were injured etc.

Waiting for someone or something?
He usually has something to do while he's waiting, like reading a book. On the occasions when he's been in trouble and has been made to wait outside Arthur's office or w/e, he tends to put his back against the wall, his hands in his pockets and just scowl at anyone who walks past.
Having a slow day at work?
Thoth's a scribe, so if he didn't have much to do I think he'd either just clock out early or start translating the documents into different languages.
Having a conversation with an irritating person?
Depends on how irritating. He'd probably be snippy at first, and then his irritation would give way to anger. If he gets angry, he has a few self-calming techniques like counting to ten and is getting better at not blowing his top, but he still doesn't just walk away from a confrontational conversation.
Having a conversation with a stranger?
He'd be defensive and suspicious, and probably unintentionally a bit rude. If the person seemed nice, suspicion might give way to curiosity and he might start asking them about themselves; if they don't seem nice he'd probably walk away. Defensive body language, often frowns, usually trying to do something other than have the conversation (e.g. playing around with one of his inventions, grooming an animal etc).
Having a conversation with someone they feel very close to?
Very honest and open, much more sensitive and sympathetic (both because he's learned the other person's habits and because he's trying to be). More inclined to give them his full attention.
Dump your character on modern day Earth. How would they feel about…
The Disney princess franchise?
He'd probably lecture everyone on misogyny. Such a mansplainer.
The Marvel franchise?
I reckon he'd quite like this. A lot of the Marvel heroes are underdogs who gain cool powers and I reckon Thoth would identify a lot with people like Peter Parker, Steve Rogers pre-serum, etc.
Donald Trump?
Strong dislike. Lamenting the stupidity of voters.
Nuclear weapons?
Thoth would question the point of weapons which (1) have no intention to be used and (2) destroy wildlife and have enormous ecological impacts. He'd also make the point that if someone fired a nuclear weapon at you, you'd all be dead anyway, so you wouldn't be able to fire yours back.
A holiday in the Bahamas?
Great opportunity to study and research a different ecosystem.
How your character feels about themselves.
If your character could eradicate one physical/appearance flaw about themselves, what would it be?
Physical issue - he'd make his wings work.
Appearance-wise - he's always wanted blue eyes like his mother and sister to feel more part of the "family".
If your character could eradicate one personality flaw/change one habit about themselves, what would it be?
Tough one. I think when he was younger he'd want to fit in more, so he'd want to remove his "weirdness". Now, I think he'd rather be calmer and have better control of his anger.
What aspect of your character’s appearance do they like the most?
I think he likes that his hair goes blonde in the summer. Makes him think of his mum.
What aspect of your character’s personality are they most proud of?
Toughie. I think maybe his "up for anything" attitude? Fearlessness/adventurousness? I think he recognises that that's a big part of his friendship with Tristan and is also something he admires in Tristan.
What’s your character’s biggest regret?
There's still an undercurrent of self-blame for the loss of people he's closest to (mum, dad, Joel) but I think he's finally coming round to the acceptance that there's not a lot he could have done differently to prevent those losses. In terms of regrets... all I'm coming up with is that his last words to his pet snake, Atkiss, were quite unkind. If he could go back and change that he would.
What’s something your character is looking forward to in the future?
Being treated like an adult lol. He wants to visit other planets too, espec. Earth.
