Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

There are times I am struck by just how different things are in Glorall. I've heard that the other packs are close knit and the alphas aligned in views but I also know that Glorall is rather set apart from them. It does not dissuade me from my love of the sea - I was born here, raised here, and my memories all stemmed from these jagged cliffs and frothing waves. Eden has never shown me an ounce of aggression yet even I could sense there is a coiled strength to him I never wish to test. I am not a fighter but I am stronger now than I was as a pup - mentally, at least. My cowering days were behind me but my temperament was just as gentle as a drift of snow and warm as the sunshine. It is almost easy to shut away the darkness because I view things in a positive light, despite the gray. Thor had trained with the King and he was loyal even now so that confirmed my beliefs, for my foundation of loyalty and trust is so firm that if it was ever shaken I think I would break.

He is respectful of my views and it makes this much easier. It amps my confidence as I speak, a warmth burgeoning in me at how well this was going. I wonder if Hadrian would feel pride in me, even if I had shied away from his mentions of poison and hurtful things. I suppose he still taught me about harmful things since I knew how a plant could cause bad reactions. A roundabout way to spread his knowledge to someone like me, who feared inflicting pain or suffering. A bright smile is given to Eden and my tail gently wags for the idea of playing and teaching children is unparalleled. I suppose it is ingrained in me from my mother, her love of her children so strong. "I will seek her out in a few days time and offer my assistance then. It would be my pleasure."

Then I ask of Abel and there is a calm moment where Eden slowly tells me of what happened. I gasp, appropriately appalled that he would be STOLEN, but then my head tilts when he mentions that Abel wanted to stay. "Oh," I say, a little disheartened, but then I perk up when he also mentions me visiting. "I will visit my brother then too, for he resides there, and I will make sure all is well with Abel. I do wish he had returned but i cannot fault him. Others struck out on their own and I suppose surrounded by family of health could make him wish for somewhere different. I just felt a twinge of hurt that he had not come to see me but it was a long walk for one in his condition so I held no blame for him.

"Is there anything else you would ask of me, Sir Eden?" There is such an eagerness to my voice, a willingness to not disappoint.
