Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I was fixated on the prey that Thorne and I had identified, and my attention was too focused and honed in to even consider what Thorne felt of my initiation of the situation. There was no time to wait- and I go when it is needed. I can see from my peripheral vision that Thorne goes a different path, likely to hopefully block off the small thing that can barely even pass as wolf.

I am fast on the heels of the girl, and my jaws open up. I feel the electricity of my blood pumping through my veins. I moved with a deliberate purpose, like a white ghost over the land, free and unhindered. I did not let anything hold me back as I chased. It was a truly wonderous feeling, and it was only amplified with Thorne, knowing he was feeling the same thing as I did. It was an energy we could both feed off of and grow on...and as far as I was concerned, nothing was going to stop it.

When the second pup comes and stands up, telling me to stay away from his sister, I do not call off my chase. Instead my poison green eyes turn to him and fixate. He was standing still, trying to puff up and be sccaaarrryyy. The noises he makes and his stance does not phase me at all. No, not one bit as my teeth flare with my open jaws. Fine then, two little ones to have fun with.

The young girl scurried behind the boy and turned to face them, but they were weak, and still need their parent’s protection to be worth a damn, at least in my eyes. I continue forward without missing a single beat, my form a beast radiating with the desire of the hunt- and my stare upon them as the stare normally given to prey. I felt the fear from the girl, and I could swear I could smell it. It only drove me forward faster until I am right on them.

I take them head on, knowing Thorne will have his own way of doing things. I will make sure the girl doesn’t get away by taking care of the boy. As I come upon him, I know I have a significant height advantage. He is pup after all. I reach out, coming in head on and slightly to his right. My jaws will seek to grab him roughly on the scruff and lift him, hoping to throw him aside to my left and away from the young girl. If my attack misses, I will try to snap at him and force him away from the girl- hoping to allow Thorne room to do as he wishes.
