He was completely out of his element. He didn’t really know what to do or say. It never happened before to him. Or maybe it had, but regardless HE didn’t ever have to know about it or deal with it. They never stuck around, or HE never stuck around. Whatever the case was Mugen was uncertain what this pit was he felt. All energy was zapped from him for biting remarks and play, everything clearly was changed now. He didn’t know what he felt for Faol’an but whatever was there he wasn’t sure he could handle what this was.
Him a father, he barely knew his own, he knew he would be shit at such a thing too. Sure his father didn’t mean to go off and die and leave him to be raised by a bunch of bandits, but Mugen always was a little… rough to say the least around the edges with or without Iblis’ absence. He didn’t know the first thing about being a father nor did he think he really want too. Viserys was perfect, he was already stuffy and boring to begin with. Having a child already was cramping his freedom, he could feel it coming down on him like a cage.
It only happened more so when Viserys came, pretty much shoving his dumbfounded and confused self to the side telling him to let him do his job. He normally would have some kind of witty comment but all of them seemed to be ripped from his mouth. Instead he just moved far out of the way putting himself off to the side of the entrance. When he finally dared to try say something it only made him feel worse.
The normally hubris male was brought down even more at her fierce eyes and biting remark at his, what he tried to make a joke. He didn’t mean to belittle the pup more like the situation, but clearly jokes were not appreciated. It cut him like a dagger to have her actually snap at him like, deep and cold right into him. He didn’t even have it in him to reply, his ears canted backwards he just watched as Viserys did his job. Really he didn’t hear much of anything they were saying at this point.
That was until Faol’an spoke the male finally seemed to snap back to reality, he didn’t realize he had been staring off at the den wall the whole time Viserys had been there. ”Yeah… sure.” Her said his voice sounding just as defeated as he felt. There was a lot going on at once. His whole world just got flipped on his head and selfish as it was, Mugen didn’t felt he was the male for this job. Mugen knew he was a piece of shit after all. He acted like an asshole and he simply couldn’t help it, it was how he was. Who needed a father like that around? He wasn’t interested or wanted to change either. He knew he wasn’t exactly father material. Not like Viserys or Halcyon. Plus he wanted his freedom, his den, his ‘safe space’. All that was gone with a pup around, he started to get used to Faol’an basically moving in on that, but three was a crowd. Even if that third was his own spawn.
