She was still a bit surprised how relatively easy the birth was.Zelda was a kind enough woman to deal with this rather unexpected situation, and even jested for how Phaedra did not realize that they would be coming so...quickly into their meeting. She certainly did not intend for this to happen, and she knew it was not proper even though she had family here. Phaedra was never known for being proper though.
Zelda had explained she would call the protectors of the pack while she gave birth and Phaedra could only nod while she did so, and already the hospitality of the forest was showing. Zelda seems to handle being around the birth well enough, and Phaedra was not a shy woman. Life was life, and the blood of birth was nothing to be ashamed of. It can only be an issue with other predators as Zelda did properly perceive. After the birth, Zelda did welcome them to the pack. She sighed contently with the pups next to her belly.
”My name is Phaedra, and this is Nogitsune, my shadow, my soul,” she says in reply, feeling quite content with his coming and his gift of food. It will be much needed and much appreciated, and the wild woman dips her head to her shadow at his approach. Phaedra showed no sign of distress and it was a sign that Zelda was not a threat to them or their newborn children.
”Do not burden your mind with worry, my shadow, you have come with food, a gift for our children,” she says with a nod, a smile on her face as he asks if he could see them. She motions her head towards them, unraveling to reveal their small forms. She looked from Zelda to Nogitsune to the puppies, her tail gently wagging behind her despite the soreness.
”Thank you for your kindness, Zelda, feel free to sample the nourishment that my shadow has brought as a symbol of our gratitude,” she says then, pointing to a hare. Just a bite would do. She was content to be here though, but knew she would have to go soon to find a den to keep her pups safe in.
