Thanks for the reply jim not trying to stir the pot but discussions are always good . I look at some rules and see over kill but safety is the best and looking at the entire show the sled operator is by far the most important person on the track and must be fully alert at all times . Another simple observation may be that anyone would agree that a driver must have one hand at least on the steering wheel at all times kind of a no brained. So how could a tractor with a steering wheel Deadman throttle and a hand clutch be driven in a save manor with only two hands same could be said for some other tractors that require shifting unlike ford's that shift on the floor. But then ford's were years ahead of their time . Just some observations thanks again jim
