Re(4): Popping sound


You say there is a slim chance this tractor makes 100+ pounds's your education:

A 466 with a Harts 3x3 smooth bore is capable of 90+ pounds boost, have witnessed it on the dyno. If this little pup does that, I'm pretty sure the tractor in question is shoving well beyond 100 psi.

As for the popping sound, it has been said that it is most likley valve train failure, which causes hydraulic of the cylinders, and that will split a block pretty quickly under the conditions it was running under.

Maybe you need to get to a few more pulls, get involved with some teams and builders to understand how these things work.
