Re(3): Rust around windscreen motor


Thanks! Yes, along the seams in the front wheel wells is another issue where water perforated between the seams and rotted out. It will be heavily coated with undercoating, but if it's soft when you push on it, it's rotten. Again, issue from drainage. Also, the other areas to check are you rear quarters behind wheel. Also in the rear quarters in front of the wheels where the "kick trim" cowl cover screws in can be hiding rust/rot behind the trim. Check the floor boards in the front near gas petal and near emergency foot brake. Those areas held water as well. Trunk has moisture issues on the floor below the taillights. Again, water gets in and rots it out. Check the battery tray area as well. Acid from battery can cause lots of damage to tray and underneath. Other than that, I don't think there are any other areas to really check. Most everything else is usually solid. Good luck!
