He thought he had been dreaming as he moved, her scent was so strong, so recognizable. Forfax and Nehal had been all he had when he was younger. They were the only ones who didn’t judge him for what he was and how he was. While it seemed many of his family got through the previous disillusions that their grandfather felt about them he knew some of his family still felt that way, though those that did seemed to be gone. He hadn’t seen hide or hair of either of his littermates in years, he honestly thought they long ago had moved on beyond Moladion for good. Now though it was clear at least one of them still thought of him, the one that probably understood most of all how it was to be different, but not broken. Maybe she was spared, after all I have no idea if they gave me looks, I just hear the words. She was at least spared from the fake sounds of their voices. The tones to which Solara and Heyel in the past had judged us all.
He didn’t know that Alcmene had come along as well. His form quickly nuzzled into Nahal’s even as she spoke his name in a broken manner though well enough that he knew she was trying to say it. He nodded his head, he knew she couldn’t hear him speak anyway, but it was then that he heard the tepid voice of Alcmene speak from behind him. He didn’t turn his tail waved lightly as he broke the embrace he shared with his sister after a moment of relaxing. He felt something odd within him, the bond telling him she was feeling something strong though he couldn’t fathom why at the moment. Perhaps it wasn’t abundantly clear that they were siblings. Nahal had taken more after Isola and he, Kane, at least, that was what he heard.
”Alcmene, this is my sister, Nahal.” He introduced easily head twisting around to speak in the direction of his imprint, tail still giving waves. He was probably showing more emotion that was typical of him, more touch and connection. There were very few to whom he would show such care and attachment too, but Nahal was one of those wolves he cared dearly for, he worried for her for a long time until finally he knew he just couldn’t expend the mental time or energy on it. Now she was back though, they could be together again as they should have always been. ”She can’t hear.” He added though he knew many deaf wolves were capable of reading lips. He wanted to know what she had been through but it was apparent that she never got to talking very well. It was fine, they still managed to find a way to understand one another and that was what was important to him.
Of course he couldn’t tell what kind of looks Alcmene had given his sister, he wouldn’t have cared so much if she felt that way before knowing, but he couldn’t say if those feelings were gone now that she knew of their relation. She smelled and felt like she was well over all, he had missed her, and he was so happy to have part of that void he had in himself filled. He was always a serious wolf, and would continue to be, but Nahal brought upon him a little extra light to his life.
