He hadn't had time yet to learn about the other packs but he would be remedying that soon. He wasn't going to stay in Asteraia forever. Maybe he'd even run across Noctis or the female pup again some day. If he was going to be the best at what he did, he'd have to learn from more than one wolf. Noctis looked rather nervous when he asked about where he came from but after looking around, he said nowhere and that his family were loners. Fen wrinkled his nose. "Really? You don't smell like the other loners I've come across. Whatever." There was no sense in arguing it out with Noctis so he decided to let it go...for now. He would find out more later but for now, he would plead ignorance. Noctis wagged his tail and Fen found that he couldn't be that irritated about it, even if it was a lie. Noctis didn't seem to mean any harm by it but Fen couldn't help but wonder if he just didn't trust him or something. At least Noctis was willing to run into the water with them, though it was quite obvious early on that he didn't know how to swim. At least it was pretty shallow where they were so if Noctis started to drown or something, surely one of them could save him. As it were, Noctis was just not graceful at all in the water. He just needed to learn how to move his legs the right way. When he asked what a drowning opossum looks like, Fen snorted. "Well, just look at yourself and compare. It's pretty dang close." He snickered again in good humor. The girl came swimming over, splashing Noctis and he watched as Noctis went to swim after her. It was obvious that he was trying but he definitely needed some practice. Noctis called out that she was quick and he shook his head with a grin. "Nope, you're just slow!" He called back with a laugh. The girl called out her name as Remi and Fen made sure to nod in acknowledgement. He would make sure to remember both of their names for later. The girl splashed him then went swimming off and he watched as Noctis tried to chase her down. He saw her slow down and his ears flicked back and forth. Was she just trying to keep the chase going or was she hoping he would catch her? He couldn't have the fun coming to an end so soon! He rushed in between them, rearing up on his back legs and pouncing toward Noctis, trying to tackle him into the water. If he hit him, he would just roll right off of him and back to his feet to let the other pup recover. If he missed, he would fall in the water and try to splash both of them. He had to be in on the fun after all! She pretended like Noctis caught her tail, crying out and falling in the water but that didn't last long. She was a bad actor but Fen would be nice this once and not call her out on it. When she disappeared beneath the water, he started hopping around, trying to find her so when she came up laughing, he turned to her with his ears pricked and his tail wagging. She said that they didn't have lakes like this in the mountains and he smiled. "So you live in the mountains? Cool! Is it cold up there?"
