Nogitsune’s eyes brightened in her presence; she gave him direction when his mind wish clouded with doubt and worry. He could never truly fathom allowing his family such a glimpse and perhaps he had visibly gnashed his teeth at the thought. He would never be ashamed of his sunset goddess but he would never risk exposing her to them, their sanity that he last recalled was reasonable but cold. Family or not they did a far better job at holding the title of Demon than he had. Yet as he spoke of his other family to hear Shiloh was Phaedra’s sister held a sense of happiness in his gaze. Quietly he nodded at her suggestion of a pack. It was funny how fate worked perhaps and in these very moments, he felt it had worked out in his favor, dragging him out of his darkened world he once felt only despair and loneliness.

When Phaedra spoke again he looked almost horrified at her words a soft growl growing in his throat; “They wouldn’t have agreed no but to make a threat or lay a paw wouldn’t have been wise. Despite how strong my family once was I would have…” Shaking his head lightly he silenced himself. “I shouldn’t disrespect you with such vulgarity, but to put it simply it would have been their own problem I wouldn’t have let anyone gotten harmed on my behalf for my choices. Only my death would have permitted and will permit anything to happen, Phaedra.” He spoke bowing his head to her. He may have their blood but he wasn’t fit into their mold always falling short of his families title. Yet his strengths were hidden in those that weren’t blood but perhaps the strongest of all his bonds.
