'Вы вообще не помните?' Kahlan shook her head, a bemused facade painted upon her face. "If I remembered, do you think that I truly would have asked the question? Tell me this, why answer a question with yet another question? I suppose I have done it twice now myself, but questions do nothing to answer." Bright suns peered at the hessian as he sat across from her and looked him over. Though she had not meant to speak the words about her intrigue, she already had, and knew that he had heard them. That he had noticed her so closely observing him and his skin. But it mattered not to her. 'Странно, что волк не помнит ее действия' His ears flickered about, as if searching for someone else who was about to ruin their private conversation. Kahlan shrugged her shoulders and peered away, her tail curling around her paws protectively. "It is not strange at all for me. And not for you either. Can you tell me with all due honestly that you remember every instant of your life? Every... single... one?" Her vocals emphasized each word, her tail's tip ticking with each word, one by one. "We remember flashes of our lives, and over time certain ones fades. For me, that time lapse perhaps is not as long as for everyone else. Or perhaps I will remember in time, perhaps my mind wishes to work backwards in comparison." Kahlan lurches to her paws and shakes out her pelt, loosening the silt. "What is strange however is to carry so many scars. Now that - that - is strange. I have known another with as many scars as your own..." A growl released itself from between pursed lips and her gaze turned to the side, as a sigh fell. "Kenshin had a dark past. He was a monster and not to be trusted, but that did not keep me from doing just that. I learned the hard way that monsters tended to spread pain in order to alleviate their own. Take care of your own, Lev, lest you end up alone." There was a brief moment of silence before she scared and whipped her nape around to stare him down. "And do not say you prefer being alone. Even you believe such a thing yourself, it is a lie you will discover." |
