Even as I scuttle back from her in alarm, I am concerned that she might.. well, die, right here. What did I do? I wasn't a healer and hadn't quite trained in that field despite my mother wishing me to have learned everything. The whole murder and accidental death of family members tends to throw off one's game plan, ya know. Still, she narrows her eyes and I gulp, but then she finishes coughing and assuages me. "Oh," I say on a big exhale, although my lips twist up into a grin suddenly. "Allergies then!" What did I know about allergies? Not much, but some wolves somewhere had them. I think?

When she brings up Solstice I am all ears. Literally, ears up and eyes zeroed in on her. I could almost sense a sort of disapproval within her but she did not let it show. She simply did as I asked and I was grateful for that, if a little embarrassed for having asked it. Love was hard and complications made things harder. At night I wondered if I was crazy to feel so possessive over Halcyon... then I wondered if I would have been this way if fate hadn't taken my parents in one fell swoop. I was trying to be better, really.

Not to mention I planned to follow in the footsteps of my mother and recruit the young. Train them up good and I could rule the world!.... Just kidding. But still, have a strong pack. I blanch as she mentions us having pups and jerk my head back in obvious surprise. "Really?" Shock colors my tone. The idea of pups... well, I wasn't exactly on board with them yet but the very thing that created them... well, the idea made my insides twist a little in perceived excitement. "I'm glad you went to talk to her," I answer quickly, looking pensive. "I will speak with her soon then. A wolfess like YOU is invaluable Jinx. Thank you for seeking that information out for me. For what it is worth, I am glad to have you on our team." I grin again. "And doubly glad you don't have the plague. But since you are healthy, tell me about you. Have you found your imprint yet or do you have a crush?" I try to waggle my brows but all I ended up doing was blinking hard and looking foolish although I chuckled in my attempt.
