Blame track owners all you want.
This started in 2000 when Booth came with that not even close to legal Rocket ship. He had big bucks so it was overlooked. As time went on The Hawk built Rockets as did Paulie. Along comes Graham with (4)cars and Nictoa(4 or more) with piles of money. Then add the cost of the cars like 2 grand or more just for a shock, add all the aero stuff and see how much money goes into the car less motor .Now the motor bet some of those guys have 30 grand in one.
Now on to management of the track. Anyone know the cost to run the place like , ins, upkeep, pay the help ,taxes, There is plenty to blame but the fan base started going down when us old timers had kids that loved to come. Kids today only care about cell phones , tattoos, gadgets and so on.
Adding another class will be a killer cost more admission.
See if the current classes can get a larger purse instead of adding a class.
P.S
By the way the SBS Class we have now should have been used with older supers with small blocks. That would have been the best idea. There were to many hands in the cookie jar when that came about.
My 63 years being there I have noticed a lot of back deal stuff.
