Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

She stood a bit anxiously, she hadn’t been expecting to see anyone, and the way her heart had jumped at first bothered her. It wasn’t him, she knew that, but the residing feelings were still hitting her with a feeling of excitement turned disappointment. It didn’t show on her face, she felt bad that she had gotten so excited at all. Part of her was starting to feel he wouldn’t ever come back and slowly she knew she would probably just have to accept that. She thought she had, until this moment, but her heart was still having issues opening up again. It seemed she had surprised the male just as much as he had her. Though his words when he first spotted her weren’t exactly what she had expected.

His scent told her a lot about him, well in some ways, at the very least it gave some explanation for his choice of greeting. His standoffish tone didn’t deter the auburn wolfess much, especially as he apologised for it and looked away. ”No need to apologise. I can help you out, I was born to this land, it’s called Moladion, the river you are by and the area we are in is called Aplos, one of the freelands.” She says giving him a small smile though she wasn’t sure if he was going to look at her or not, she didn’t mind. He was just a new wolf to Moladion and it was a big place that wasn’t exactly normal she gathered in comparison to the lands past the newly named Tundra to the north.

She moved a little closer joining him by the river and her tail gave a light wave as she gazed out over the slowly moving waters. Cold started to overtake the lands, many of which felt a little bit more bite than usual this year. Taviora in particular had been cooler than usual, which was great for the summer, but as fall came around she knew if it would persist snow would come early to her lands. They would survive she knew the would handily, but those in the freelands she did worry about, especially wolves like the male next to her. ”I’m Zelda, it’s nice to meet you.” she adds tail waving. Though currently she knows that she can’t linger long it was nice to meet someone new and unfamiliar with her and just relax and talk.
