Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Return to Lunar Children

A bit of poison and a bit of powder

He hates it, this thing that binds them. She can feel his disgust and displeasure yet here he is, towering in worry above her. Chastising her like a pup. It makes her want to grit her teeth but also sigh in a sort of contentment that is unfamiliar and unwelcome. She had no desire for love or attachment but it was a done deal and she could make use of it even if it was a sort of battle within herself. Part of her genuinely craves him. That touch upon his chest sparks an electricity within her and it is with extreme self control that she does not press to her feet and rub against him, a house cat marking her territory. Nothing in life could be planned meticulously and she had never accounted for the sorcerer that stands near her. If only she had such a power as his - perhaps with time and more bonding she, too, would develop such a skill from their entwinement.

That won't work with me. Her lips coil up in a self-satisfied smirk, her eyes twinkling at him as if calling him the liar that he is. She can feel his twisted desire and fury. Why does he not claim what is his? They are bound now and whether he fights it or not, he wasn't going anywhere. That she could sense. She just wasn't sure whether he knew it or not. A low hum is the only answer he receives and it speaks volumes. Whatever you say, it sings. Yet his admonishment is met with such a sharp glare it could shatter glass. "Don't tell me what I realize. I know realities harsher than this," she hisses in anger at him, ears flat to her head and teeth flashing in her irritation. But she can sense it - the way his body stills beneath her paw, the way he wants to lash out as well as draw her in, and her anger eases with a coy look. So she pulls away - let him come to her for the moment.

Annoyance flickers in her eyes as she huffs, much like a pup when getting a scolding. "Such is my life, Starfall," she says in a rare moment of honesty. She is not fooled into thinking he can be convinced of a lie. He knows what she did - everyone knows. There is fury and fear in his sudden gasping words and she stares hard at him, as if trying to discern something. Did he truly care? "I do not let debts stand. I owed another and they simply used my talents." Her voice is soft, almost apologetic. It feels weird, that strained feeling in her chest that comes from him, from his stress. "This is what I was bred and born to be. How can I be something I am not? I cannot deny my nature just as you cannot deny your powers." Her voice forms, no longer coaxing but as hard as adamant. "Whether the price is worth the payment I cannot tell. My purpose is clear and defined and I know not what to do to change it." She tilts her head, suddenly wondering. Would she even want to? "Do you not have convictions and promises that you must keep? If I fail then my word means nothing and even if you hate me, dear sorcerer, know that when my word is given, it is set in stone." She shrugs then. "Why do you worry so? If I die then are you not released of this wicked bond you detest?"
