There was a strange feeling hovering over Spirane. Kalseru’s scent had seamlessly taken over the borders, Daenerys’ perfume melting away. It was strange, thinking that the older woman was no longer the Protector of The Realm. Kalseru was the Bewilderbeast, and while the masked she-wolf hadn’t made it to the meeting, she’d heard that Kalseru was being professional. That Daenerys’ daughter had the same passion and drive for the wolves of Spirane that her mother did. While she was worried for the former alpha, Aurelia didn’t doubt that Kalseru would do her best to follow the path Daenerys had set for Spirane.

The woman was making her way up the mountain, enjoying the way fall made the mountain catch flame with color. The leaves crunched under her paws as she veered off her path onto another one, brilliant mismatched eyes scanning the area. She was headed to a ledge she’d found as a pup, the ledge she’d gone to after she’d met her father, the ledge she went to when she needed to think. After the revelations she’d faced with Despoina, Aurelia wasn’t sure what to think. She wasn’t - there had to be something wrong. There had to be something not quite right. The very idea was wrong, she was wrong. The she-wolf broke through the trees, breathing out a sigh of relief as her gaze swept across Spirane.

She wouldn’t act on the wrongness inside of her, she decided as she sat on the ledge. She would be normal, she would be right. She would find her imprint, or find a mate, and they’d have a litter or two and she’d raise her children. Aurelia would have a normal life, with a normal family. She’d let her pups meet Nathaniel, because they should at least have one grandparent. She’d be happy, she decided. That was all she wanted, after all - to be happy.
