Vita Nova looked away after seeing Evren's cheerful demeanor wilt into disappointment. The last thing Nova wanted to do was stay here alone, cooped up with Koray, but she saw no other way to actually help her friend. It was strange for Nova to put her own needs aside for someone else, almost maternal in some ways, but Nova genuinely wanted to help her if she could. And moreso, she wanted to protect her from lunatic brother at all costs. The more space she could put between them the better.
"That sounds like a good plan." Nova confirmed with the bob of her head, her icy blue stare lingering on the last of the sun's rays over the ocean. "You'll need your rest. The swim is harder than you think." She says, bumping her nose against Evren's two-toned shoulder.
Nova listens with interest when Evren mentions a new oasis, a place Nova most definitely hadn't been before. She's curious now about this place. After living here for more than a year, she assumed she'd discovered every nook and corner. And when Evren mentions Orhan, she offers her a weak, sympathetic smile. Nova had written off the buckskin stallion a long time ago. If he was, in fact, coming back. She assumed he would have been here by now. But Nova didn't have the heart to steer Evren down that path. "Okay." She confirms, tossing a few pesky strands of her grey mane from her view. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."
