The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

" tale as old as time "

{ r e w } - { d u c h e s s } - { a l o n e } - { r o u g e } - { n o l o v e } - { child of delaria }

A howl pierced her ears, her auds flickering at the sound. Her stormy grey oculars scanned over her area, one she'd just began to call home. A small area of rock she would reside on was now covered with moss. It made a gentler place to rest her weary body. The duchess had been traveling for days now, her pads were scraped from the rough ground. Poor little Rew just was not used to this kind of travel. She'd left her only home, the one she'd shared with her mother and father. They'd both died from some kind of sickness, she wasn't sure. Being the only pup in her litter, she'd been smothered. Sure, she learned how to do the basics and now traveling on her own, those skills really proved to be helpful. Fighting off wolves almost twice the size of her. They'd often approached, thinking she would be an easy fight, maybe even a kill, but she'd proved them wrong. The princess was stronger than she looked.

Her willowy frame swayed in the soft breeze that was blowing across the territory. That's when she decided it was time to go. She'd make an appearance, possibly get the trust of whoever was calling. A pack, probably. She'd be much safer there. Placing one foot in front of the other, the ballerina made her way across the land. That's when she spotted the arctic up ahead, standing upon a tall rock. Her head had been recently tilted back in a loud howl, the one that had alerted her in the first place. There didn't seem to be anyone around yet, at least that she could tell. Rew picked her way over the ground, making sure not to step on any sharper rocks that could penetrate her pads. Once she was in front of the rock, she let her ears flatten against her cranium. Posing no threat to this girl. Her plume lowered, wagging slowly. I head your call. I suppose you're looking for wolves who once were in this pack.. or at least I believe there was a pack here. she voiced, her song crisp and cutting through the still air. I wish to join, however. I assume you're the new Alphess? her assumptions usually were correct, but she always wanted to make sure of it. Rew wasn't one to step out of her boundaries and never crossed the line. A loyal girl, she was. If you'll have me. Her stormy colored eyes carefully gazed up at the she who stood on the rough looking rock.

don't be scared my darling
