emmett ----- by array out of meja
Emmett isn’t sure why he’s suddenly so nervous. It’s not like the mare has appeared particularly threatening but there’s something about her that put him on edge. He has to work quite hard to keep his gaze away from the one who remains silent at his side.
Elodie’s expression is suddenly just as ominous as the dark clouds that are encroaching on them. His eyes dart toward the sky for a moment as his ears swivel. The thunder is getting louder and more frequent and he thinks he’s just spotted a flash of lightning behind his host. He snorts softly, arching his neck, unease increasing.
All of a sudden, the multicolored figure’s expression smooths out, allowing Emmett to partially relax. He could deal with a hostile leader or nasty weather but not both together. He offers a tentative smile to show that he isn’t upset by her brusque greeting. It does make him a little uncomfortable to feel her circle him, getting closer to Angeline than he’d like, but once again he’s forgotten that his love can look after herself as he sees her out of the corner of his eye take several steps back.
Elodie definitely seems to be the type of mare who likes to be in control of the situation; her tone practically demands that he pay strict attention to every word she says. ”It does seem to be getting pretty bad,” he agrees, readily trailing after her. He flicks his tail against the strong wind, helpless as his mane blows almost sideways. Maybe he should have waited until winter to come here; if he remembers right, they don’t get much, if any, snow, and it’s probably the nicest time of year for Atlantis.
He reaches the little outcrop of rocks and trees without any trouble and he just spots the familiar black tail whipping into place beside him as he looks at Elodie. ”So what’s it like around here when the weather’s nice?”
