PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

the moon and its eclipse

been reading books of old - the legends and the myths
the testaments they told:

The darkness had never been his friend – and it was was colder than ever to him. Not even those bright stars offered him any comfort now. He longed for the desert, for his mother, and it took all his strength to hold himself together. That was one thing that his mother had instilled in him from his very first days of life – be strong for yourself, my son, because there will come days when no-one else will be there for you. And he tried, he tried so hard, despite the ache that had settled among his ribs.

It was not long at all before another approached, a mare, white and silvery gold in the darkness. She didn’t appear hostile, though Crane was cautious as she approached. She seemed not old, there was the vigor of youth about her, and the colt was yet to determine if this would bode well for him, or ill. “I, uh… Greetings stranger, I am Crane.” The somewhat formal introduction rose readily to his lips (another of his mother’s teachings), but his voice trembled like the grass in the cool night air. “I don’t mean to trespass, I just --,” he trailed off, glancing aside momentarily, but seeing no other figures in the dark, no flash of silver.

Should he ask if this mare had seen Balthazar sneaking past? No, perhaps not. He wouldn’t want to get his father into any trouble, after all. “I’m lost. I humbly ask I be allowed to stay until the sun rises, so that I can find my way more easily in my search for a place to stay.”
