Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Sick? No...no! He was totally not sick! Couldn't she see that? Well...actually, maybe he wanted to look sick. It seemed to make her...care more. Yeah, he was definitely sick! But also not sick because that was weak and he totally wasn't weak. Was there a middle-ground? "Half-sick!" He corrected. Yeah, there was a middle ground and he'd just made it.

All the sniffing though... it made him feel special. Maybe he should get sick...he considered it briefly, a longing gaze towards Diveen. They always had children, right? And children were always sick - like carriers, viral carriers. Maybe if he went there next, he could pick something up real quick and come back to Samia to be healed and medicated into bliss. He gave a quiet hm beneath his breath, absent minded as she pondered his children. "They should," his mouth just...spoke without him really being there, "and they'll probably have an ear like yours too. Actually, maybe two ears like that. You know, to make them extra special - double special. But, I wonder if that's possible..." he trailed off, eyes wide, lips taut. He'd caught himself mid-sentence. Cringe. He wanted to crawl into himself. And curl up. And die.

But hey, at least she was flattered by the herbs! He was quick to grab onto that loose end. Great cover and all, right! He beamed at her mention of finding the best and her humbleness about being the best. His laugh was small but earnest. "I'll believe that the day I see one of the others cure a sick man in but a minute!" But she got serious then and he fast followed suit.

He furrowed his brows for a moment as he pondered the question. Really, he had been okay but not great. After Jackdaw had left him, he hadn't really been sure what to do - or what he'd do when he did finally re-emerge into his life. Still, he didn't want to appear like a loser. It made him feel lame to admit that he'd just been doing a whole lot of...well, nothing but surviving really. "Well, my family is all over the place, you know. It keeps me busy sometimes. But, I thought coming to see you was more important." He grinned, though it almost had an air of...maturity around it. "I've been worried since the last time I saw you too. All the packs are going crazy, you know, and I didn't want to waste time trying to convince them I'm not the bad guy here to...listen or whatever spies do." He rolled his eyes at the thought - he had way better things to be doing! And they probably had better spies anyway. "Is everything okay?" It was strange to...really think about his words, and to really mean them, and he felt almost actually sick at the mere idea that things could be even remotely not okay.
