love triangle

Dyami
morgan x mustang, femme, five, silver bay pinto

Stepping from the frigid ocean, her eyes fell upon the ocean in the sky, and a serenity fell over her. The last rays of light danced over her darkened chocolate and white form. She stretched her neck easily, twisting one way, then the other, letting the tendons relax as she let the aches of the swim release from her body. Grey-sage eyes lifted easily, looking out at the grassland that stretched before her. Beyond her gaze, she saw the large rocks that made up the falls. A smile graced the sleek lips of the femme fatale, watching the land as she stood to dry in the setting sun.

Elegant steps brought her body off of the sandy banks, the sand spraying as she walked, some of it sticking to her still damp skin. She walked towards the falls, slow steps bringing her softly colored body that much closer to her destination.

Her name was Dyami. And she was starting a new adventure. Life had been kind to her, no malice, no pain, but she needed a real adventure that would give her thrills, love, and a life of nothing but joy. She didn’t want that in her old herd. She was the daughter of the chief. He had named her after the eagle, thanks to her dark bay color that showed through her markings. She had been adored by those who had wanted to get under her father’s tutelage. But they never cared for her because of who she was as an individual. That had been the breaking point for Dy. She wanted to be more than the daughter of the chief. More than the prized possession that would get whatever man was her mate a place within the royal family. She was worth more than that, she was!

The last rays of light broke over the head of the white haired femme, and she lifted her dome, eyes watching the fingers of light spraying across the ocean in the sky. She sent a silent message to the night, wishing that those who traveled at night would be kept safe from harm, all the while thanking the day for the joys that had been brought forth. A simple thing her mother and father had taught her as a child. You should thank the world, whenever you find it easy to.

She found herself reaching the falls sooner than she had imagined. She stood staring up at the large rock formation that made up the falls. The water crashed in a soft way that showered her with a light mist, and she let her eyes close as she soaked up the light mist. Here's to a new adventure.
