Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Secrets and lies, they coil and burn like bile in the back of my throats as I toy with him, as I grow tired of the games and the allure of it. I was never one for such things - much like my dam I was rather straight forward and concise when I wanted to be. When the strain of everything begins to weigh upon my sleek shoulders. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, they say, and mine was growing heavier by the day. It is among one of the various reasons that I've come here. Eden is a snake and I am not charmed nor am I a snake charmer, apparently. When are at each other's throats with veiled insults and I've decided that I can understand why Elohim is the way he is if he has dealt with this his whole life.

My life was much more simple - streamlined with goals and pragmatic choices. Never sullied in the depths of games. I am thankful, in these moments, to have had a family as I did even if it was but a brief moment in my short life. Two years... or more? It seems time flies and I am left gasping and lost still when I think of it.

It is true what he says. He wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth and I suppose... I hadn't really had to work for my title. Oh I had traveled to learn but in the end it was through Halcyon that I was given my title. It was through my mother I was given my allies. What have I do that is ME? It stings but I merely nod abruptly at him because I am tired of this talk already. I should not have come - my rash nature has brought me here and I don't like him. The neutrality between us is threatened and then, it becomes even more thinned.

She is not here. My eyes widen and my tempers flares, anger burning across the thinning of my eyes. "What do you mean she is not here, Eden?" My voice takes on a coarse quality as I glare at him, worry suddenly pounding hard in my throat, in my veins. "She came here thinking you would be one to follow," I suddenly spit because I think... I think it is what had been following me around. This black cloud of edginess. I think I realized something bad had happened. "Yet you cannot be bothered with making sure she made it to her destination or that she is safe? Seasons have passed!" I can't stand the sudden brittle nature of it all as I step back from him. "If something has happened to her I will never forgive you." The words are cold, so icy, and I mean them. That is what a leader does, they protect, and I resolved to protect mine as best I could.... but first, I must find out about Vesper.

With a growl I spin and race off, towards the border, uncaring if he will chase me out or leave me to stew.
