there is no greater pain
or punishment than memory

Quinn merely watched Poppy's antics -- the rain dash to hide the pot of gold under a nearby table and the dash back -- in curious silence. As much silence as could be afforded through the rain and thunder, that is. Poppy still looked anxious under the smile that she gave him, but he simply nodded to her, then lifted and settled a shoulder in a shrug at her words. A moment, period. Quinn yave her a lightly assessing look, wondering exactly what she meant by that, then dropped the matter of the pot of gold for now. It was quirky to be sure, but it was her choice to say anything or let it go after his leprechaun comment.

Either way, she was telling him that it was nice to meet him, and he gave a light chuckle. "It's certainly interesting to meet you, Poppy." He responded. He didn't know about good just yet, and he did not lie, so that was the best and most honest he could give right now. She did, however, say something in return for the leprechaun comment of his, and even looked a little amused while doing so. Not intentionally, just with unpredictable magic. In a place she should not be. "And why shouldn't you be here?" He asked evenly. Maybe that was nosy of him to ask, but she had brought it up, not him. He would have never thought on such a situation as how she should not be here.

She was then looking around as if she thought someone had seen her and was going to sneak up on her or something -- maybe bringing pitchforks? -- and then hit herself in the head. Quinn took all this in without a word, because it wasn't really any of his business, no matter if she had sort of put it out there that she shouldn't be here. Was he curious to know why that was? Yes, but he couldn't help that. It was part of the feline aspect of himself. He'd been killed enough times for it to be true, too, that whole 'curiousity killed the cat' bit. Not often for the reasons that one would expect, but that didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, did it?

Of course now Poppy was altering herself; changing skin tone, eye color, hair color, added some to her frame and changed height to be smaller. Quinn just watched all this with a thoughtful expression. He supposed he could do the same things if he wanted to, but usually only used that kind of ability on a job or quest or something to that effect. This situation might have the same level of severity for Poppy, though. He did keep that in mind. She was saying that this look was much better, and Quinn remained quiet on that. He had asked enough questions already, at least for now, and would wait it out.
