Date: fall | FOR EVERLAST | Mood: lonely |
He tried to keep his mind clear, knowing that in a few short weeks the scents of the females in heat would be upon them all, and he was determined to stay as far away as possible, but hell, even he knew that wasn’t always a for sure thing. He had to keep himself busy enough away from the ladies that he’d keep his sanity. That fear would always linger, that he’d go crazy the minute he became a father, and maul his family like his father had done to them. His scars ached when the thoughts traveled across his mind. He needed to do more, he had to, I mean what else was he supposed to do?
Robichaux found himself stuck in his own thoughts as he stood within the riverside's tall grasses. He paused in his movement, his large dark body standing still in the grass. The sun shone down upon him in the daylight, his eyes closed as he stood in the middle of the grasses. His thoughts swirled as he tried to ignore the inner thoughts, telling him that getting close to anyone was a bad idea, that he would be putting everyone he cared for in danger if he did that. And he knew better, deep in his soul that he wasn't a bad guy, he wasn't like his father. It wouldn't mess him up. Of that he was sure. He knew better than to let things like that take control of him and make him into the monster his father had been.
The sudden collision sent him stepping back a few paces, catching himself. His eyes turned down, settling on the white-grey form that had collided with his, that little thing had sent him reeling? Wow, he must have been way too deep into his thoughts if a thing her size had caused him to stumble.
He went to her, his head dropping low, his nose reaching out to her as he spoke "Are you okay Chère? You didn't break anything right?" his rough tones floated gently as he looked at her with worry clouding his eyes as he hurriedly looked over her form, hoping that the collision with him hadn't hurt her in any way. Not that he'd been moving when they'd hit, but that didn't mean she hadn't gotten hurt. His form shifted, lowering slightly on his haunches, his shoulders dipping along with his body, making himself look smaller than he really was. She wasn't much smaller than he was but that didn't mean that she hadn't got her head knocked around a bit by the fall, or impact.
