Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It was a chemical reaction that was sparking between them, by fate no, but even better - by choice. Somehow, they gave in to trust and did not consider the consequences of such trust. It was odd and unlike Juris to do so, but he gave in to it. There was nothing he could sense from Zafira that suggested harm or wrong doing. Around her, he felt at ease rather than paranoid and without trust. How could a complete stranger compensate for this empty void of a feeling that he never had? Only time will tell. But for now, it was time to rest.

He sniffed her ear and made sure she was comfortable, the cold rain around them began to drip down into the thick of the forest, alone he would be less comfortable and his paws would ache every time the cold blustering wind would kiss them. But not tonight, he could curl up like yin next to Zafira whom would be yang. A wolf was built to withstand the cold, but amongst others it had become a lot more tolerable as far as getting a good nights rest.

He curled up beside her, his tail wrapped around the both of them, his head beside hers. He felt impish, childish really, smirking like a child meeting their best friend intimately for the first time. He began to fall asleep to the rhythm of her breathing pattern, the sound of the thud in her chest - that organ they call the heart. It pumped constantly, enough so it became like a lullably that quickly sent Juris into a deep slumber.

He had dreams that washed away reality, he wouldn't be aware of anything going on around him. That was one horrible trait of Juris, he could sleep so deeply one could easily have his throat before he even awoke to feel the jaws around him. But alas the dreams were worth escaping reality and the dreams were worth the risk of death before morning. He was dreaming of a bright field with Zafira - she wished for a race and he tried his best. To his surprise he couldn't catch her as she giggled and looked back at him, Come find me, you wont catch me. Ill be lost forever if you dont catch me. What seemed like a churlish dream began to twist into a cold nightmare. What was this? What was happening - why did he feel so cold?

Juris jumped out of his sleep, alone. His head wildly twisted in every direction, Zafira was gone. As if by magic. He instantly come to a standing position, sniffing the cold wet ground in every direction. She was gone, vanished into thin air it seemed. Not even a trace of where she couldve wandered off to. But something was wrong, it didn't seem like she wandered off at all. She couldn't have, she wouldn't - not that he wanted to believe! He cried out hoarsely, his yowls sounding like the horrid screech of a dying rabbit. Juris was in pain! His only sense of comfort was suddenly gone in an instant! What did he do to deserve this?! Then the idea had passed his thoughts....an idea he didn't want to think about...

Someone stole from him.

Nobody steals from a thief. As hypocritical as it was, there was no greater disrespect. Nobody stole from Juris! However selfish it would seem, he did not believe in the karma of a master thief being stolen from. Juris was not an angry wolf, but there was only one soft spot that could rub even him a little raw.

Do. Not. Steal. From. Juris.

His lips began to foam in anger, all he could see was red! He began to huff and growl, he couldn't control himself. There was no such word for this aggression, pissed one might say - maybe mad even! There was chaos to be set, homes to burn to the ground, and souls to eat alive. Something awoke in him that morning when he awoke without Zafira. He put his comforts in her so quickly, and just as quickly they were ripped away.

Someone was going to pay for this, no matter the cost. Juris wouldn't give up until he found her. And he would make the thief pay. Whether they realized whom they stole from or not... the awoken a beast they would wish theyve never met.
