The wolf who now emerged from the clacking reeds surprised the brindled nightmare, her expression adopting a simper that reflected her shock. The girl was young, although still an adult, and much smaller than anticipated. At this point in her life, Eclipse had seen many wolves and most did not compare to her stature, so it was to be expected that this pack wolf would not be up to her expectations. However, that does not discount the female entirely. She knows well enough not to judge based on size alone, however, she is still slightly taken aback. She is almost cute.

The flounder of another creature in the mire has her attention turn downward toward the scaly beast that shifts about ten feet away. She does not worry over the swamp lizard for in her years of travelling she has encountered them before. Give a good, strong front and they retreat just like any other intelligent predator. Perhaps it wasn’t foolproof but it worked nearly every time - after all, most animals know when not to pick a fight.

Her gunmetal and blue eyes turn back to the multi-hued female that stood so defensively before her. ”Sweetie, I’m not here to threaten you.” her tail flicks lightly as she shifts position. ”But if you want to turn this into a bloodletting then I’ll let you know that I’m always game,” she pauses briefly, letting her caustic words sink into the girl’s head. ”You see, ladies like us should be the ones running this shit. You’ve got this whole system under your paw, darling. I praise you for that.” the monolithic succubus moves to place herself a little closer to the female and the lurking swamp beast, her eyes reflecting the moonlight from above and her ears keeping check on either of their positions.

She leans in slightly, her words quieter now. ”I’m a woman of exceptional capability. I have years on me, I am a seasoned warrioress and a dedicated deceiver. Why wouldn’t you keep me around?” she turns away from the younger adult, taking a few steps back in the way she had come before turning back around to stand confidently in wait for an answer. ”But it seems that you have already rejected my appeal for entrance into your dark haven before you have even gotten to know me. Shame… but I’m sure others would not be so quick to judge,” she condemns the hastened actions of the alpha, although secretly she does not disagree with them wholeheartedly. The woman is only protecting her world and it is always an honor to be perceived as a threat.
