aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

I Know You Lay In Bed,
Contemplating Your Own Death

Alone. That's all she ever was. She never had any real reason for being here, what with all of her siblings dead or her birth parents leaving her behind. Even Silas had disappeared it seemed into thin air after he took her in. He was all that was left in Moondown, her birth home. Then they were all gone. It was a ghost town now, yet she still chose to reside there. Maybe it was the utter silence that soothed her or maybe it was just the soul fact that she had her whole life here. Even though her life was just sadness and despair. Hell, even as a pup she had tried to drown herself in the coursing river. What meer child's life is so disastrous that they try that?

Disastrous . . . The word sent shivers across her spine as she came to the thought of her begging her Father to change her name. Disaster. What kind of a name was that? Had she really ruined their lives so badly? That was the last time her, her father, and her siblings were all actually together before he left. The last night Aindreas had spent in Moondown. She sighed, walking towards her den that was obviously too big to ever be her own. It was Aindreas's and her siblings, stretched out still from the extra space they all had. She started growing her own plants around the home, tending to them often. Most of them were wildflowers. The colors made her happy, the only color she really had in such a gray world.

Her stroll to check on them came to a sudden halt as she felt as if her skull was breaking in two pieces. Her jaws clenched shut so hard she'd thought he'd fractured it. There was a loud humming in her ears though she couldn't pin point the location. It seemed as if it was coming from everywhere. Her eyes clenched shut as the humming only began to make her body shake rapidly. She felt herself drooling - No - Foaming at the mouth. Her body was on the ground, which she hadn't remembered even falling. Her jaw opened only to let out a scream, but there was nothing that came out that she could hear. Then it was silent and the shaking had stopped.

When her orbs opened she was above Blossom itself, gazing down at the beauty's bellow her. She could see souls, emotions, dancing across the ground. Her orbs flickered as tears filled her eyes, and a small smile fell on her cracked face. She felt everything, read everything they were all feeling, and for a moment she wondered if this was why she was still alive. And who else felt this way . . . That's when it hit her. Silas was still out there - But so was Aindreas and Drizzt. They were like her, and in that instant that she realized that she was back in her own body. Her temperature rising and her heartbeat fluttering once again - just not at the same pace.

Her orbs, now different, now a bright blue, began taking in the light and adjusting. Everything seemed more colorful just like her flowers. As she steadied her breath, she rose to her stronger pillars and began to run through the trees, the bushes, and finally through the river she had tried to end her own life at. She swam with the current, reaching the other side - Aurora Borealis. Aindreas' scent was everywhere. She shook the water out of her pelt before standing tall and throwing her head back, calling out for her father - And if he was even near - Drizzt. Her head then fell to its proper height above her shoulders, her banner out behind her. She stood, ontemplating just how this would all go over . . . For a large part of her was livid that she was never good enough to be apart of even the most broke pieces of the family. She was the one shard they swept under the rug and forgot about it seemed . . . She huffed out of her nares.
