Apophis certainly could and could not understand his mother's desires to hunt for the rest of their family. She was a woman who was secretive and perhaps he could understand the desire to look after them without her own self-being present but his eyes snapped up to his eldest sisters growl and judgment casting eyes. He was almost certain they held the look of disappointment. While he wasn’t interested to have someone watching over him like a hawk he knew it was wiser not to retaliate when mother moved to give way to his older sister. His head lowered and so did his glare a curled lip of defiance but not much in the way of a challenge.

Soon the tan wolf fell into his gaze and not long after he caught the gaze of Lucille, but looked at her in a dull fashion almost. His way of saying to her just listen to what was being said and directed. He wouldn’t defy his mother's wishes and he wasn’t stupid enough to attack such a larger target knowing their mother was likely on her side. It had been mothers idea to hand Lucille and himself to their sister's charge. So he simply listened to his direction and offered Lucille a slight grin perhaps it could be more fun than they think it to be. This was after all their first true family hunt. Moving as quietly as a bulky wolf could, he got into place on the tan wolfs right knowing it this formation was to trap the prey. Hobble and disable he was certainly going to try and enjoy this his blood starting to rush in excitement and anticipation. He waited for their cue simply hoping his Lucille would try and enjoy herself too.
