The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Lucia

She was still innocent in the ways of the world. She didn't catch on that her new friend Ghost was a dangerous assassin. She didn't know that she was purposely being used as a manipulation tool against her family. All she knew was that she had made a new friend who somehow knew her father and she knew the language Aeon spoke and she was going to teach her. It was looking like a good day! The grotto wasn't looking so bad either, though. Sure, it was dark and could be scary but there were pretty lights coming through holes in the ceiling. She played in them when she found one, giggling and hopping around. But suddenly a voice made her jump and gasp as she spun to face the other wolf.

He was older than her but not quite an adult. And his coat was as dark as the shadows. She blinked a few times to let her gaze adjust before beaming at him.

"Maybe you should be careful. Betcha didn't think about that!"

She challenged him back, her eyes glittering playfully even as her tail wagged. But then she heard more paw steps and she spun to face the new wolf approaching, an oddly marked wolf but at least he wasn't hiding. He told her she could get lost and that she should run home before the shadows get her. Lucia snorted and smirked at the new wolf.

"I'm not scared of no shadows. I like it down here. You can't make me leave."

She glared at him, but there was no anger in her eyes, only a mischievous twinkle.
