Lady Lynda is an interesting one. It became the first UK top ten since Cottonfields(1970). It probably is down to the fact that its a #### fine song anyway and I think the Light album probably got pushed a bit more in the UK. Sumahama and Here Comes The Night both entered the Top 40 and the album reached 32. I think Lady Lynda just had that something "extra special". The fact that its rooted partly in a classical song wouldnt have hurt!!

Other interesting thing about the charts in general is that when you check wikipedia it states that the worldwide BB sales is over 100 million. However there are other sites that state the figure as 350 million....far more like it. As AGD once said in relation to a BB recording "the truth is out there"
