The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Cold heart on fire

✦Please have mercy on me. Take it easy on my heart.✦

His paws grew tired the farther he ran, but something shifted and he felt like there was another near him. He was up wind of whatever had stepped foot in the land, causing him to pick up his pace and run quickly, yet quietly towards the source of this disturbance. Though when he heard the low neutral howl it made his ears twitch. This was a wolf asking to come into the territory or even just continue on it’s way. Why did it not just continue to wander? Shaking his massive head Siku started to trot until he came to a clearing. He was to the right of the wolf, hidden behind the masses of trees and foliage, along with the darkness of night. Though one would say his white coat made him look ghastly since where he had black markings along his back, his legs, muzzle and underbelly caused him to seem like a floating mass of white.

He sniffed the air around him, making sure to keep as quiet as he could without disturbing the wolf before him. Like Siku’s black markings, this wolf seemed to vanish in the fading light. With a coat of dark greys and blacks he did peak the cold wolfs interest as he wandered along the edge of the clearing, trying to remain hidden until he was able to walk straight out in front of the wolf. His tail swished back and forth as the ivory wolf continued on his path. Never really being one to want to interact with others the thought of having to speak to this wolf made him slightly uneasy, but the wolf had let his presence known for a reason and he dominant nature of Siku caused him to honor the wolf’s acknowledgment that Siku had been there first.

Finally, the white wolf stepped out of the woods, looking straight at the ebony wolf with his grey eyes. A stranger once told him real wolves had golden eyes only, but to Siku, he never felt like a real wolf anyways. Since his parents passing he had always felt dead, unliving, and forgotten. Which meant to him, he could have cold grey eyes that represented death as the same wolf had put it to him. Ever so slightly the ivory wolf’s dark muzzle lifted into a sinister smirk, though he wasn’t a violent wolf, he did play the role of a trickster or a villain quite well. “Greetings wolf.” He said in his low baritone voice. Not trying to sound threatening, but his deep raspy voice tended to have a threatening sound to it no matter what he did. It was raspy at times, a thick draw like sound on certain words. Many liked to tell him he had his own accent, but that didn’t bother him. Clearly he was born to be different. He made no move to walk forward or any closer to the other male though, he wanted to not seem to friendly or to threatening, so he kept his distance and waited for the male to greet him as well. If the male would that is.

✦Though you don’t mean to hurt me, you keep tearing me apart.✦
