It was cold and terrible outside. The snow decided to come, and decided to come in hard. I have not seen anything quite like it. It seems to just keep on coming and coming. It is hard to see outside even. I don’t know what is up with this weather, but I am not quite fond of it. Snow is cool and all, but this is too much. And too cold!

Thus, I find myself in my nice warm den. Warm enough anyway. Warmer than outside. I keep enough bedding in here for myself to stay warm while outside gets covered to hell. I don’t have much desire to go out today with the blizzard raging on outside. So instead, I lay in my den with my eyes closed. I am not exactly asleep and not exactly awake either. I find it rather quiet with the snow blocking most of the entrance to my den. I simply let my mind wander.

Sometimes I cannot really sleep well because my mind will not stop. The thoughts of that boy under the lightning storm seem to crawl into my mind and gnaw at me. I fidget uncomfortably, trying to fall into sleep but finding myself half way through. His eyes stare at me and I repeat that night over and over in my head. I simply want it to go away and I want to be in my own nothingness, but something doesn’t let me let it go.

Little did I realize why. I myself flopping over, my ear twitching with my eyes closed, when I suddenly hear footsteps outside. They are faint at first due to the silencing effect of the snow, but then it is quite obvious they are coming my way. I do not feel...threatened, not exactly, when I hear someone barrelling through my den entrance.

Lazily I open my green and blue eyes. I do not stand, but roll my head over to see him again. I give him the laziest death stare on earth. Really? Is he really in here right now, uninvited? Do I really have to deal with this right now. I groan unhappily.

”Aye, what do you want?” I say while yawning, rolling to be on my belly. ”You know it is rude to come in uninvited to someone else’s den, didn’t anyone teach ya that?” I say almost scoldingly. Man, his parents were really, really bad at teaching him any sort of social manners. It is almost amazing how bad they were. Not only that, he was a wolf of Glorall. Not that Pine has any particular quarrel with Glorall right now like she does Diveen, but Pine does not take lightly to intruders. I know what happened recently, although that was due to a death, but I suspect Pine would not be kind if she saw him.

”Ya know Pine rip aparts intruders, and you boy, are an intruder, so why risk your life to rudely run into my den in the middle of this damn storm?” I ask, eyes narrowed as I eye him. I don’t quite like being interrupted like this, and my tail lifts slightly at the fact that he has done what he has done. I like to think of myself as a somewhat tolerant individual, and I don’t feel like he will hurt me...for some reason, the way he acts SHOULD make me feel otherwise. However, something else tells me he will not hurt me...otherwise I would have chased him out of my den already. Doesn’t mean I still won’t chase him out, but I will at least give him a chance to speak.
