Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

let me be brave

A ragtag group of men. Oswin’s expression showed what she thought of such a sentiment – unamused. If she had the ability, she might have raised a brow and leveled him with a look that warned him she wasn’t as foolish as her youthful age and sleek looks awarded her. As it was she only laughed, just softly so and tilted her head. “Well, when the islands speak of the bachelors of the Lagoon as if you’re some reckless force to be reckoned with, I’d say you’re fairly infamous.” The tides of the Lagoon bachelors seemed to change with the seasons and with the stallion they pushed forth as their boss. Some were more prone to proactivity, challenging, raiding, and stealing. Some settled for a quiet life, happy among the muck in their Lagoon, steering clear of stirring up trouble.

Oswin wondered which the Lagoon stallions were now.

Jaxon. She would remember his name. “Oswin.” She replied, and that same smile worked its way over her mouth. As much as she hadn’t wanted to give away her identity so quickly, she couldn’t help but find her curiosity building as to what he would think. She lifted her head and regarded him for a brief moment before she spoke again. “General of the Peak.”

It felt good to say it. It was all she’d wanted from the very moment her mother told her about the Peak. Oswin was proud and it showed in the brightness of her eyes and the regality of her stance.

oswin
this is as brave as I know how to be.
I know it’s gonna hurt you, but please… be a little proud of me.
