Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

heros may die...but legends endure

Zelda was the epitome of passive, she was very much the diffuser in the situations she was involved with. However, she was trying to be proactive in trying to prevent anything bad happening to the pack she loved and now had the responsibility of protecting. The path at which she was choosing to go though might mark her as a bit eccentric, but really she always heard of how they were from Hyrule. Zelda had heard how in the days of old they were cultivated and molded by the angels and feared by their enemies. She didn’t want to be feared, but she gathered they were powerful, and that any wolf of any size, given enough mettle, could learn it. All the wolves thus far that tried to teach her didn’t understand her lack of pure power. All her teachers thus far were more power houses, built to be warriors, but Zelda’s figure was fine and certainly more towards speed. Looking over Mana it appeared she was in the right spot for refining techniques with what Zelda had.

Mana wouldn’t be wrong in assuming she had the upper hand. Zelda really didn’t have to many other places to go. She guessed Diveen itself if Mana or Malina refused. Hyrule said his mother had learned right? But something told Zelda the Queen of Diveen had better things to do then teach another alpha how to defend her lands. She would if she had to, but something gave Zelda the feeling that the spirited female would help her out. The laugh at her resolution though didn’t break Zelda’s resolve. She had to do this, not for her but for her pack and family. They needed her to figure out how to fight. Her whole life she had been kept away from being a warrior, she knew the bare basics and still had to work out everything else inbetween. Thankfully thus far it seemed wolves were happy with the current rulers. As all things though, Zelda knew that could change.

She never said she wanted to become an angel. Such things did indeed seem impossible or outdated, but their art itself she knew wasn’t. Hyrule had mentioned that they had an entire culture, and that was why he felt the need to leave. To learn of it. Zelda’s ears tilted back slightly thinking about everything that being an angel could entail but she didn’t want to know those things. Their ability to fight was what she needed. She had to be fearless in the face of danger, and while she knew Hyrule was far from unshakable, she knew he would face down a threat and wouldn’t waver. She wouldn’t either if it meant protecting her family, she knew she would die for them if need be, but she was hoping it wouldn’t come to that.

Zelda’s face lit up when Mana finished saying she would accept the request, so long as Zelda accepted that she was second best. ”As long as second best is better than any I might have to face, I will take it.” She said giving a little dry laugh, ”Thank you.” She added bowing her head. It was then that Mana moved past the auburn wolfess. Her form turned watching as Mana’s white ear flicked. Zelda followed quietly, her tail hanging limply at her ankles as Mana lead the way to wherever she was going. She wondered then if she would meeting Malina now, or if her lessons were beginning right now.

Her ears twitched when Mana spoke again, though her words were a little confusing. A nobody? It took a second for the meaning of that to sink in. After all Zelda never thought herself better than anyone else, she didn’t think herself special, but it dawned on her, she meant it to be that way or not that she was someone just simply because she was a leader of one of the lands of Moladion. ”O-of course.” She said lightly, though it was after a few confused moments that the reply came from her lips while she sorted that thought out. Again she didn’t want to think she was better than anyone else, or that this wolfess was a ‘nobody’. Everyone was a someone, everyone was important to someone else. That was drilled into her her whole life, but right now Zelda simply continued to follow quietly, teal gaze roaming, but curious to where they were going.
