News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

- Zelda -

Zelda wished more than anything that she could have come to the monolithic pack on better terms. She wanted to get to know Daenerys and now more than ever Kalseru. SHe could tell the young adult wolfess and her probably would have gotten along well. Perhaps even become friends, right now though Zelda was here on business. She wanted to be certain she could take care of this alliance, be sure she had someone who knew her feelings and what was going on. She just didn’t want Spirane to go in blind. Zelda knew all too well of Spirane and Diveen’s relationship, but while Zelda didn’t think Iromar was all in the right either, she certainly didn’t think they needed to have enemies on both sides of them.

Zelda was happy that Kalseru seemed to be taking her word seriously. After all, Zelda was a young leader, younger than Kalseru at least, and they had never met before then on top of taking so long to come to Spirane, the auburn female wouldn’t have blamed the dark silvery wolfess if she thought ill of her in the slightest. However, she was honest to Nymeria when she said there had been much calling to her attention, and while she wouldn’t blame someone for thinking she was shirking her duties, in reality to avoid the things she had been taking care of would have made her appear worse off to her members. Her ears flicked slightly as her story came to a close, she found herself shifting slightly under Kalseru’s gaze, feeling a little bit exposed, but there it was, the on goings the the mountain wolves perhaps had missed over their time here. Zelda wasn’t sure what Daenerys did, but it was clear by the expression on Kalseru’s face that perhaps they hadn’t been getting out very much themselves.

When finally the Bewilderbeast of Spirane spoke, she held Zelda’s full attention. Zelda found herself nodding as she said she didn’t expect Diveen to do such a thing. A sigh of relief came to Zelda’s maw, though she also had to agree with what followed. Wolves changed. She knew that too well. ”I had the honor of being with one of his sons for a time, and having another in my pack for quite a while. I heard their brother had died from the later, he went home to support his family… Part of me wondered if that was part of this, for the trouble seemed to have started shortly after.” Zelda mused to the wolfess. Really they seemed to be quite similar on mindset in regards to this. Clearly they were both skeptical of it, but Zelda knew wolves could change… for better or worse.

Kalseru continues, asking if she may go with Zelda when she went to speak to Diveen. ”I see no harm in that, but understand I don’t want to appear I am accusing him of anything. You are just one step on my journey to understanding what is going on across all Moladion. I plan to go to Asteraia next, check on my uncle and their state of affairs, before going to Diveen. You are welcome to join me, if you think we can be… well not perceived as a threat. I don’t see how, Taviora and Spirane have long been the closest to Diveen, but you never know.” She says her words tentative and thoughtful. She made this journey alone to be as unimposing as she could as she went on her crusade for knowledge. She hoped soon she would be back at the doors to her land, able to make a plan or at least come with better understanding of what was going on elsewhere. ”As for Pine… I wonder if the pressures of being a leader are more than she expected. I know they were for me. It’s not easy bearing the weight of so many on your shoulders.” She was sure Kalseru was learning that too, Zelda sure had to and some took pressure well, others… well they didn’t and after what had happened when she last ran into Pine, Zelda worried for the Moor wolfess and her Cousin.

Then something else interesting came to her ears. More news and knowledge. Eden went to them, ”It wouldn’t surprise me. Everyone is feeling the pressure, Eden is right between the two lands as well. I am sure he wants some assurance that his land will not be ravaged between the two. He is different, but he’s hardly unfair in his judgements, least that I have found or learned of him.” Her knowledge on Eden was sparse at best, and Zelda knew in time she would be finding out for herself what he did when the pressure was on him. Later after all this. However, she felt she had a good idea through her mom, and watching him raise her siblings.

”I’m truly sorry for bothering you with this, Kalseru. I am sure its not what you were hoping for, but I was at least hoping I would have someone who I could rely on for a bit of aide myself in trying to make sure this doesn’t go too far.” She finishes looking forlorn, but really she needed to make sure she had someone else, someone not involved, and was hoping that between Spirane or Asteraia one of them would help.
