Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Perhaps one of Yuki's flaws was never expecting the worst - she had hoped and acted as if the woman would be fine with her presence but, well, who could have said? She should have been thankful she hadn't received a tooth or two to the muzzle for intruding but alas, she was merely glad she had made the other woman smile despite the rather unpleasant circumstances. It made Yuki bounce back a stride as the stranger began to rise up onto the ridge. "Well, it definitely brings back memories." She poked her tongue out in jest though she distinctly remembered having made similiar errors in the past. It had taken her arguably just as long to understand that skunks really wanted to be left alone.

It was for that very reason that she did not feel disheartened by the woman's obvious doubt in her abilities to...freshen things up. Yuki hadn't believed it possible at first either and, to be honest, it seldom worked completely but it was something. Honestly though, Yuki was sure they'd both admit that smelling like anything else would be better.

"Well, have you ever come across a fat, red berry with yellow flowers?" They weren't common, to be sure, but there were several small clusters throughout Moladion. Sometimes, rabbits and deer had a tendency to eat the fruit or the leaf and so, they weren't poisonous...just not preferable in taste. But their juice! Yuki's mother had sworn by it. It was simply...difficult to get enough of the fruit together to really coat the fur. "There are some a little while away - or at least, there should be. If you can gather them up and give yourself a good roll in them, you should smell a litlte more wolfy." She grinned with a confident wave of her tail. "What do you say?"

With that, she dipped into a small bow of welcome, as if the stranger were a truly esteemed guest, before she jumped on ahead, ready for adventure. Sure, it'd be a short adventure but an adventure nonetheless! Yuki never understimated the stories she might uncover if she helped enough strangers.
